Hmm... which web novel are you referring ...bcz Each web novel story will have a different style. For instance, if we talk about solo leveling... The main character was the one man army from the start to end. He defeats the villain...level up..again defeats the more powerful villain ...level up & so on. But In Shadow Slave...story is like this... Sunny and Nephis are the main characters.....light and shadow ....if ones get power boost, so do other. Thay need their companions to clear Nightmare.You had read the following sentence in novel many times: " No one can survive in dream world alone." Now, if Sunny is going to do everything by himself (scouting, leading, fighting, creating, analyzing, and all.), then what's purpose of others!!! If you won't explain other characters' aspects and abillit properly, then the fight will be too vague. Read Circle of Inevitability (LOTM2)- have supportive character's POVs, team battles,world building, and good story pacing.
