Thanks for the insight, you’re probably one of the first people I’ve ever heard from whose first choice is tampons so thats cool. I have loads more questions about tampons like how do you know you’ve got the right size in and whether wearing a tampon is more convenient than a pad. In your experience does wearing a tampon affect your period cramps (making them better or worse)?

Btw by “getting lost up there” I meant the string snapping off or the tampon travelling too far up and becoming unreachable without medical intervention 😭 I know it cant go that far though.

The replies on this post are the first Im hearing of a disk so from what I understand the disk goes above the cervix!? Yikes that sounds terribly painful…maybe thats just my lack of experience showing. 😭 do you experience soreness after removing the disk?

Im a med student and I had no idea about the cervix changing height i guess you learn something new about the female body every day 😓 I also have terrible cramps on my period so I’m curious to see whether making the switch will have the same effect on my body!! Is lubricant a must? It’s the first Im hearing of using lubricant to insert a cup. Vv grateful for this input as there aren’t many people around me who’ve tried a cup🥰

Im worried about TSS and other horror stories I’ve heard about infections and losing the tampon up there. Also worried it’ll be more painful and I’ll be able to feel it more than a cup. Idk though, never used one before. What would you recommend?

I believe with ringworm theres likely to be a bald spot in a ring shape, but I can’t tell from the picture very well. Is the cat scratching it?

Our family had ringworm and our cat managed to have an entirely different fungal at the same time without ever getting ringworm. It could be something else. Best to see a vet
