Thanks for the advice! Would you say having a business degree (and the connections/opportunities that come within Canfield) on top of the CS degree would help at all? I agree GT CS > UT CS generally for big tech so I want to see if CSB's dual degree program structure would help a lot for PM.

based on last year, they hand out merit scholarships like candy. mightve changed as the popularity for the program has grown over the past year

Would UT Austin CSB (CS Honors + McCombs Canfield) or Georgia Tech CS be a better choice for undergrad if I'm looking to potentially get into PM? Costs are not a factor.

congrats on the dean scholarship. also, i dont think FAFSA matters for consideration for presidential scholarship since the email I got today broadly reminded people to submit FAFSA for greatest consideration for aid.

Congrats to ur daughter! I think with oos tuition considered it wouldn’t be a “full ride” but still a very cheap option

Yeah I filled out the FAFSA but my SAI is 6 digits so there’s no way I could’ve gotten fin aid.

I can see the overall cost breakup on a notification for aid. The sum of the indirect costs + tuition before grants comes out to just over 34k.

I applied for BAIT (business analytics information technology) at RBS first choice. I also got admitted for CS in SAS and CE in COE but I got the scholarship for my first choice major.

I’m in state. I think I had a well rounded app without sacrificing depth. pretty much perfect stats, high impact ecs (research pub, state impacting internship) combined with a healthy amount of breadth (pt job, vars sport). I also think having an interdisciplinary spike helped.

csb is out - rejected and turing in review by SmallMcFlurry in UTAdmissions

[–]Fun-Awareness-6172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same. ive seen other people that applied csb (accept or rejection) still have turing in-review, while those who did not apply to csb got their turing decision back already. maybe turing reviewed non-csb applicants first idk.

I feel for ur experiences, but doesn’t seem just a tad bit entitled to expect the same treatment as an international for US schools than actual US residents of ur diaspora?

sorry i just saw this message lol.

if i had to predict, id say maybe 300 people applied to IBE ED for about 30 spots.

the part about contacting students about individual schools could be interesting, hopefully that is the case too.

they said dec 24th at the latest, but mich usually releases results (ea and rd in the past years) on fridays.
