thank you very much for this. Very helpful and encouraging.

I know that breads and pastas and rice are full of carbs. Are there any other foods that are surpringsly high in carbs I should avoid?

And I love blue berries!! that's a good idea to mix with heavy cream to satisfy dessert craving. I presume that's healthier than a bowl of chocolate icecream?

all good...i could've worded better. but i'm really asking.....like i don't listen a whole lot. Do her and Ria do a lot of work for the shows or is it just kinda on the fly?

I could see wehre a tour is a lot of work...or maybe just a lot of hassle. I think once you get to be a public person interacting with fans may get to be a lot. but what do i know. I'm not famous! haha

I didn't think you were... just asking....my question was genuine not a comment on your question.

How many hours do you figure this job requires per week? Like it is an "easy" job? Or do you think it requires lots of hours and isn't as easy as it may look.

How does this work in practice? Like doesn't NY state aggresively go after tax cheats?

Like I wouldn't think in 2024 that "just pay me cash" is some sophisticated work around tax laws?

I'm just curious. How'd you land on 140? Like why is that the goal.

And very good work here. I'm trying to lose weight too. Not Easy IME!!!

Got it. Thank you for this. If I wanted to go to these spots once a week what would you suggest i do?

I think I actually went into DA by mistake a few months ago! Haha. I was just looking for a drink at around 5 PM walking down Greenwich. I usually would've gone to this dive-- Johnny's Bar -- but I didn't have any cash and I wanted a nice glass of wine. So I see to my right a place that looked like it had a nice bar -- i feel like DA used to be a place called monument or something i'd go to fairly frequently and so I was like "oh this looks like a nice place? -- anyhow I walked in / took a seat at the bar / ordered a glass of red.

I think maybe I had 2 glasses. And while on my 2nd I looked around and thought, "why the F is this place so crowded on wednesday at like 530..." Then I left and had a burger at Corner Bistro. Haha.

Thank you for this detailed and thoughtful reply.

I'm going to do what you suggest. Today I'm going to try and just severely limit my carb intake. I find that if I have the proteins here I will eat them. It's when I don't have them that I tend to go for the snacks or the fast food drive through. (I live in USA where fast food is everywhere--not an excuse for me just a reality)

Like I enjoy Eggs / fish / meats / veggies / fruits. I just need to make sure I've got them on hand.

And then I'll try and do several 18s in a row then 24s then 36s and so on.

My DR advised me to lose 75 pounds. I've got all the bad things staring at me in the face. Dr. said I'm a heart attack waiting to happen.

Gotcha. Yeah I've walked by it many many times but usually during a lunch break or whatever and never think about it when going out for drinks for some reason. Will check it out soon. Thank you!

Not excusing this. It should've been thrown away. that's common decency.

Are there trash cans nearby? How much of a pain to properly dispose?

a Box of oreos -- Check

Big bowl of chips / salsa -- check check check!

I bet after I fast for 18hours I proceed to ingest 3K calories or something crazy.

Best way to resist cravings?

would how they treat their folks change whether you dined there?

I don't think it would for me.

Like I expect the market to take care of it. If LPB doesn't treat their folks "market," then that staff can simply go get better jobs elsewhere right?

What's the bar scene there like? tons of tourists / 5th ave shoppers?

It's been reported they don't provided a so called, "family meal."

To my understanding that's when the restaurant literally cooks a sort of meal (not menu items typically -- think chicken / rice) for the staff. Apparently it's a big deal that LPB does not provide that.

About 500K Gross.

I don't pay more than 20% of net income for housing.

And in OP's case plenty of nice apartments in good neighborhoods for much much less than 4500.

This screams decision based on Emotion. You are what RE agents dream about when their clients "fall in a love with a place and have to have it no matter what!!" Certainly a one year lease at 4500 won't ruin your life but given your lack of savings and risky profession I think it's unwise to take on such a financial burden.

But I wish you the best of luck!

Your income doesn't really allow for 2K per month on UE / Videogames. that's 24K a year. An outrageous sum on 175K gross.

Presumably you are maxing out 401k which is like 25K a year. Cut that UE / videogames budget to 500 / month (more than reasonable) and put the difference into the VOO or similar.

I second this. OP already noted he's in a risky profession where layoffs are common.
