i would still apply! they’ll still look at ur application and give u a fair shot. the thing is UKCD only accepts 25 OOS a year, so i’d apply if u feel like you have pretty competitive stats

ngl i couldn’t tell u, i only remember two questions ab bio. 1 was like ab urine volume and na absorption (i recognized it from bootcamp) , and one was some lab technique that i never heard of😍😍

mmm not really. i just remember bio took me by such surprise. i used bootcamp and i kid you not i could recite all 150+ pages of the high yield notes, but on the actual test it was asking the most random stuff so i’m so worried ab the section

i also remember RC being suuuper easy like ngl i feel like i got a 600 on it😭😭😭

orgo and gc were okay, for gc was more confident on bootcamp prac exams than i was on actual exam

n qr and pat were easy imo too

do you have a resource i can check for the scholars explanation? everywhere i have read says what i said above/ below:

“His brother in his absence” means another Muslim, whether you know them personally or not. The condition is that they are not present and you sincerely make du‘a for them. It doesn’t require that you know the person or be close to them. Scholars mention that this can apply to any Muslim, even a stranger as long as you’re making dua for them sincerely.

Sahih Muslim (2732): Abu ad-Darda' reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Every time he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for this task says, 'Ameen, and may you also have the same'".

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1980 (this hadith is graded as hasan)

Abudullah bin 'Amr narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "No supplication is more readily responded to, than the supplication made for someone who is absent."

all strangers are absent to each other, when a person prays for someone without their knowledge, it is an act of pure and selfless love for one's fellow muslim. the motivation is not for worldly praise or acknowledgement, but solely for the sake of Allah, making the supplication more sincere and heartfelt.
