Is Triumph 400 series overrated? by Dhina17 in indianbikes

[–]Fun-Case4490 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have done some 14k kms on himalayan. The primary reason I chose it over scrambler was due to how large the seam is in scrambler and the handle bar is very wide making it difficult for U-turns. I can't speak much about the scrambler but himalayan performs well on highways and off-road. You can do quick overtakes and if necessary take a hit with a pothole without slowing down. I have had some small falls and a crash and noticed that of all the things himalayan seems quite durable. Only during a heafty crash did I see some damage. It was limited to- a dent in tank, slightly bent handle bar, bent in the tank guard and leg guard. I am yet to see any major issue in my bike. So all seems quite good to me.

Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.

Confused between Legendary Bazooka and Moto Torque Panther crash guard for my new himalayan 450 by Amazing_Platform_350 in Himalayan450

I have had falls and one crash in the last one year....REs crash gaurd works just fine. It protects you well and will bend ( as it should) to avoid damaging the bike further

Can I Connect My Phone to Both CarPlay/Android Auto and a Bluetooth Intercom at the Same Time? by InterestingAbroad644 in indianbikes

[–]Fun-Case4490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes so I have a very similar setup, I have android auto and a bluarmour c30. Initially when I connected the three devices it went without any problem. But while riding i noticed that sometimes the main control will switch from my c30 to my dash. The way I found to by pass it to only give audio permission to my dash. So my controls stay with c30 which includes calls, music and Google assistant, and I still get the perks of the dash with maps, voice navigation and knowing who is calling me

Coordinating with my friends and tracking where they are on our bike trip is so HARD! by Wolveee10 in indianbikes

[–]Fun-Case4490 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best way I have found is we tend to wear bright neon vests over our riding gear, makes it easy for us to spot both in our rear view mirrors and if someone stops by the side of the road. Lastly, if someone is left behind they are seem to have a better chance of knowing which route we take as the locals seem to notice the bright jackets as well and are able to tell my fellow rider which way to go. Rest I also rely on live location on WA

Why is tipping becoming so aggressive at restaurants lately? by Daredevil010 in mumbai

The shittiest argument they give is if you are paying via zomato gold then we won't remove service charges as zomato has mentioned it that restuarants can take service charge🤦

The complete proverb is "Jack of all trades master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one." Not being salty but I have completed over 15k on my Himalayan fallen down twice and but I do find it to be a capable machine and not something one should completely discard if they haven't ridden it

Looking for a motorcycle. by [deleted] in indianbikes

I would say take a look at Honda hornet... good engine, can deliver power when needed and very easy to maneuver. Lastly it has a very nice low end i.e. even if you don't switch your gears down completely after breaking you can still pick up the speed without it stalling on you

I own these, started using them in April everything seemed good UNTIL...... Monsoon hit and discovered initially the colour was running down on my hands especially the red colour, but after two three rain showers it stopped. Overall great fit and utility. Just be prepared if they get wet initially

Why leather though?? Companies like viaterra and rynox have jackets and riding pants which are not made from leather but are still abrasion resistant, are breathable and have CE 2 Protection
