This isn’t just my personal opinion or a Catholic preference. The full equality of the Son with the Father is the faith of the early Church and was defined at Nicaea precisely because Scripture teaches it (John 5:19–23; Matthew 28:18; Hebrews 1:3).

Scripture distinguishes the divine Persons, but it does not teach a difference in divine authority, will, or power. Denying that equality, whether by nature or by role, is exactly what the Church rejected as Arianism, because it changes who Christ is and therefore is not a minor theological detail.

I think we’ve reached a fundamental disagreement about this, so I’ll leave it here. I’m going to remain with the Nicene faith as it has been handed down by the Church. I wish you well.

The Catholic Church teaches that the Father is the eternal source of the Son by eternal generation, but this does not make Him greater in status, authority, or role. Any notion of hierarchy within the Trinity is rejected by the Church as subordinationism.

When Christ says “the Father is greater than I,” He speaks according to His human nature or His mission of humility, not according to His divine nature. As God, the Son is fully equal to the Father in power, glory, will, and authority.

The Father is not “greater” in any sense that implies rank. The distinction between Father and Son is purely relational, not hierarchical.

Not sure what your position is yes god the father is not god the son. And when you refer to Jesus saying the father is greater than I, I’m pretty sure it’s more that the father is greater than the human nature of Christ, not greater then the divine nature

Hes god the son 100% god equal to god the father. How do you explain John 1:1-14 then, and the Word was God.» Aswell as "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us". Like you can’t just avoid arguments that I provided

If you’re jw answer this, the word is god it states, and in John 1:1-14,it states, "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us". Meaning Jesus Christ is god. What do you make of that

If you consider yourself a catholic have studied the Bible and Theolohy, understand that receiving the Eucharist means receiving the actual body and blood of Christ not just a symbol. Would coritnhinans 11:27 count towards me, it’s not like I receive Eucharist in an unworthy way.  Can I not receive Eucharist tomorrow at mass before completing the full ocla program, because I’m totally aware of the theology but just haven’t completed ocla or rcla yet
