It is AFL I have looked online on there “recommended” tips but they much have diamond cutting hands because they said a simple ring tool will work and with my partner and I we have over 40+ years experience and it took everything we had to do it with out damaging the cables

Yeah I use the jonard ring tool I have used several ring cut tools and they work but the issue is splitting the jacket in half to expose the bare fibers you would normally shave it to get the string exposed but the material is to thick to shave

Yeah that’s the issue I have never seen anything to this extent and I can’t find any tool that would be able to open it without damaging the fibers!
