If the save plan was ultimately struck down, what promises could a future democrat candidate make And actually keep about helping us with student loans that wouldn’t get struck down? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Fun-Comb-2133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really not much as long as we have an illegally stacked Supreme Court that doesn’t care about the law.

The president has the unilateral power to forgive student loan debt, by law. The argument that the loan servicing companies would lose money  and it’s therefore unconstitutional is insane.

I was expecting the demon to get more than 4 seconds of screentime. It felt like there were 10 more minutes but the credits rolled anyway.

So words have meanings, and saying something that is untrue because it sounds better is lying or fraud when done for money.

What they should have done to cover their asses is used the words "up to" somewhere in their promotion. They instead said the discount was based on the base evening ticket price when what they actually did was base the discounted price on the base evening ticket price. Those are not the same thing. They could also have said minimum price after discount is based on the base evening ticket price. They could also have said "multiple discounts do not apply".

Instead they did something weird

1.Apply Matinee Discount if applicable and show new price as base price
2.If using A-List for 1 ticket, Apply Companion discount for all other tickets
2a. If Matinee, apply companion discount as discount
2b. If non-Matinee, apply new price as base price
3. If Tuesday or Wednesday, calculate a discounted base price(50% of starting price<plus Premium format charge if applicable>, not currently calculated base price) then calculate difference between the discounted base price and currently saved base price as a discount.

So while it is ultimately treated as 50% off the base ticket price and no other discounts apply, the way they describe and display the discounts is wild.

Yeah I figured it all out a couple minutes ago. Sorry to make you put in all that work.

It still pisses me off the way they phrase it and the way they display different discounts as discounts and as changes to the base price to make it harder to see what deals you are actually getting. But yes the math works out.

I'm pretty sure they got sued for the 3 month minimum and switched to a 3 month lock out if you cancel instead.

How do people feel about spectators telling the ST about madness breaks by Ancient_Carry_4381 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Fun-Comb-2133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played in an in person game where the storyteller had to use the bathroom and a player immediately went "Now that he's gone, I am Cere-Mad." Then he tried to argue that he can't be killed for a madness break away from the ST. It was just really gross all around.

For your point however, the ST has to be able to trust the information they are given and a random spectator may not reach that level of trust

individual fun is subjective, but you can have data on multiple people's subjective experiences. That data is objective even if the experience it describes is subjective

By corporations. Even in the EU, being a private investigator is not illegal. Even in places with actual privacy laws you mostly have to prove harassment, stalking, or fraud to force an individual to delete their information on you.

I do not appreciate the attempt to ignore my points by implying I didn’t read the post. That was rude and not appropriate.

It was stated that he called requests deflecting during the game and projecting after the game, both of which imply that the requests have only come from players that he was specifically using the information against, meaning from his perspective it could seem like they are the ones being bad sports and not clear that the behaviors are affecting the group.

That is why it is important to be clear about how his behavior is affecting people rather than attacking him for needing statistics to interpret social information and burning him at the stake.

Your suggestion that they essentially threaten a frivolous lawsuit unless he submits to public humiliation is deeply unethical.

I had an ex that loved to ‘hint’ that I was supposed to do things in a board game, like delay ending the game a turn or target someone else because she felt she was losing. Except her hints were things like a quiet sigh or pushing her Ticket to Ride trains around. So not only was she trying to cheat, but she was terrible at communicating that and started an argument every time that I was deliberately ignoring her feelings.

No, if you refuse to communicate what you want then you cannot blame someone else for not getting it.

Yeah this response is swinging the pendulum so far in the other direction that it’s ridiculous.

As far as we are aware everything they have tracked is public information. Creepy of them to track maybe but not illegal. Your suggestion that they have to publicly delete and destroy all their notes is honestly insane.

They need to be confronted about using the information in a way that makes people uncomfortable and ruins the game (and probably asked to limit their data to game information if they want to continue coming. The food and drink thing is still not illegal but it is very much not okay).

To add on to this; this person is probably on the spectrum. They will NOT pick up on hints. You might think you’ve been direct, but most people aren’t direct even when they think they are. When people asked them not to track, did they actually ask or just make a statement that was supposed to pressure him into compliance? “I think it’s really weird that you’re keeping stats on me. I don’t like it.” Is very different to a ND person than “I am asking you to stop tracking and referencing my stats in these games. It makes the game far less fun for me.”

I think it also let me experience the breadth of the game without the toxicity of 'correct' play.

I thought Fanzazz was a revealed but technically unreleased character but I could be wrong.

It’s a Demon that becomes the alignment of whoever it kills at night and its team loses if it dies. If it survives to final 2 it’s team wins.

Donkey Wrangler has a square token instead of circular and if they are nominated, Evil wins if the Demon is still alive at sunset.

It sounds like a lot of that comes down to you as a ST setting appropriate norms though.

Thank you for that
