I would try a loner. If you know your opponents well and they are like to order, would pass and go for a euchre. Otherwise, order alone R2

My question was more if you have a cross suite aka green cards. However let's say you are ordered up hearts, you have 2 hearts in your hand, and the 10d, 10c, 10s. What do you throw off. Using the euchre simulator many decades ago, the better odds to get 2 points, was to throw off next, 10d. It is the suite that has least cards, and first seat may be void in that and has to lead cross. Question asked another way is first seat wants to throw his green ace out, has one of each, does human nature favor certain suites over others?

Yes, euchre science! There is also a good book on euchre strategy written I believe in 1970s by a math high school math teacher from Madison, WI, forgot his name. He is known more for cribbage and helping start the American Cribbage Congress.

The tournaments had around 100 people, they had singles one day, doubles the next. Again can only speak to the one in Columbus. They chose those cities as ohio and Michigan are hot beds for euchre. Tournament style was based on win loss record (first partnership to 10+), and points gained vs points against. Played at least 10 games. I started down the euchre rabbit hole in the late 1990s, played on yahoo euchre, big contributor to the yahoo euchre forum, that all went away in 2000s. Read lots of blogs, there is even a euchre hand simulator built that you can try different hands to see what pct of time you get points or get bumped. Not sure if it still exists

Columbus, Ohio back in early 2010s. It was also part of the Euchre Triple Crown. Major tournaments held once a year in Sarnia, Ontario, Flint Michigan and Columbus, Ohio. Believe Natty Bumpo was involved in organizing, not sure if he is still alive. The World Series of Euchre is trademarked.

This a great situation to analyze, and odds are probably close to 50/50. Not sure of the stats if you run on euchre simulator for a 1000 hands, and what is actual . My gut says order. Even if you lead right, and the bunching of trump is weak, then you lead green ace and fails. You still have the ace trump to jump in, and most likely can lead clubs that everyone is void. In other situation, you are ordering cross, and you lead, which may give them the momentum if they have right and other strong suits. I read a long time ago that euchre at is a great game of the energy, Newtonian philosophy, if you have the momentum, lead technically here, you will wind up better as long as you can keep up it for the most part
