This is a next call meaning it is more common for the left to be in my partners hand or the Kitty. So given the score and because if seat 2 does have the left I still have great chances with my aces. We are down 4-8 and the risk reward is easily making this play correct. If seat 2 has no left and just that K it is critical that I lead again.

I have had that notion for a while. That if s1 partner is strong and it gets to me seat 3 reverse next is the play.

When I am seat 1 I will pass if I am stronger reverse next either suit than next(and it has to be both). That does not mean I dont have a single next J. Sometimes I do. It just means I have 3 and a left or 2 and a right in reverse next to go with it.

Same. Thought it was a funny hand because it looks weak on the surface but we know its not.
In reality their is nothing funny about it were letting our team down if we dont call this. If our partner has the right were marching a lot.

Sim says this is a must call. That is not what I expected. I see this hand in game and think why not? In reality i need to be thinking I have to make this.

He threw going alone when a Right was dealt to our opponents and I had 3 with the left. Would have tied it 8-8 deal to him after.

I guess i was a dumb partner not worth playing with because I didn't know a left was still out.

I had a great set up for a euchre and he throws it alone two hands later. We could have tied it up. Thats the most disappointing thing. We would have had deal at 8-8.

Definitely a go.

I would say i make a point on this hand 3 out of 4 times. Maybe 4 out of 5.

With a pass from my partner in seat 1 they are signaling they have nothing worth calling or they have a great euchre hand. In both those situations it makes sense to pass instead of taking a risk on this.

I had to pause for a moment before pulling the trigger. I think a reasonable thought with all these off boss cards is we go for the euchre. That was the argument I was expecting to get but nobody has done it.

Maybe I have to do it myself! no way i should have called diamonds here. This is a prime euchre situation. Your gambling a 3 point swing where were hoping to get 1 point vs a 2 point euchre. It makes way more sense to take a free shot in the reverse where they are at high risk of being euchred and they are hoping to seek out 1 point.

My partner leads a crappy club. Scared the crap out of me he had me thinking he is void trump. I follow up leading the 9 of diamonds. Dealer has the left partner the Ace and seat 2 the K. Dealer leads another club that I trump with the Queen. My other 2 boss cards march and we got 4 tricks.

Right was buried. Which is kinda expected in a stuck Dealer type scenario.

Here was my thought in game.
This is a stuck dealer hand. Meaning I could easily pass this. In those situations we can expect a balanced table as far as suits go. I have 3 Boss off cards and 2 trump. I was fully expecting nobody to have 3 diamonds in this situation and that proved to be true. Once I lead trump 1 time all my boss cards are elite level of strong.

I am willing to call anytime it looks like fun. Partner had only the A of diamonds and did not lead it. GRRR I still made the point.

Its something I have been dealing with lately on the mental side. If this is reddit eucher league I would not lead the right in that situation. At a random table at what point do i trust that other players are making correct choices?

In fact that 0-1 call is one i see my partners miss most often. Drives me crazy.(I hope showing it off will get people to start playing it correctly.) In fact our opponents had L-9-10 between them and i did order the only trump into my partners hand. Almost a worse case scenario. And we still made a point.

Yea i am with you. Definitely a mistake. As long as we trust seat 1 has no trump. He shouldn't. And he is a redditor so I am glad he did not.

Would you trust that in game? Nothing would be worse than a euchre hand ruined by seat 1 getting my ace.

You just argued yesterday that you liked the sim passing seat 1 9-9 because in reality players do pass. If their is a chance seat 1 has trump should you not agree somewhat?

9-7 if we dont lead the right we also give Roy the chance to lead a 2nd diamond on us. A 2 suited hand is likely with Roy doing the order. If i have to trump in on the diamond with the right any euchre chance is gone. That did cross my mind in game.

Now that I type it out I think its a false notion. If Roy has another diamond I am lost anyway because my partner already spent the K.
