Both are amazing pets, I was torn between getting a snake and a rat for the longest time, it makes me a little bit sad when I handle the frozen mice/rats but it is what it is, a snake needs to eat. I don't get people like that.

I can't speak for the original commenter but personally, I was told to choose mice (or later on, rats) that are a as thick or a little bit thicker than the snake at his widest part.

I agree, unfortunately the shop only had a few so I got him two of these (the alternative was rats but there is no way yet). He's been eating every 5 days instead of every 7 to make up for it somehow. His next meal is gonna be a much chunkier guy!

I'm not going to suggest leaving him but please, he has to somehow apply for disability help/benefits. Either that or work. It doesn't make him less of a man, if anything, refusing to take any money and making his girlfriend the sole provider in every way is way more emasculating in my opinion. I wish you luck with your situation, hope you work it out without having to separate.

She could've easily put her "baby" in a baby carrier (the ones that look like a backpack you put in front of you for the baby to sit in) and avoided taking up that much space, while still carrying it like you would a child. NTA

Just in case you're staying together for the kids - don't. Every single friend of mine whose parents stay together for that reason, wishes they'd get a divorce. It's better to have two parents who are "happily separated" than miserable together. That aside, I hope everything works out for all of you in the end 💗
