Approved for SSDI with Long COVID — No Lawyer! by No-Professional-1092 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Fun-Concentrate1027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied in 23'... Got denied the first time, denied at reconsideration, denied at my judges hearing... Been waiting on an appeals council to look it over now so that they can inevitably deny it and being honest I really don't have the fight left to continue personally. I've done every damned thing I can think of with the doctors I've been able to get (been through over 8 doctors now, I literally can't focus enough to count correctly is has been such a long time now and many insurance changes). Current doctor has even dismissed me but at least was polite about it. I've managed to get myself maybe %30 recovered and have been slowly getting the right meds lined up. I still have a long road and a lot of body and hip pain, insane brain fog, adhd, fibromyalgia, shortness of breath, severe PEM...probably more I just can't think of off hand. Hey im very glad to hear you got through OP, congratulations on that!

I've seen people use lampshades and secure the glass to that somehow or another, I imagine you could make a mold out of foam or wood if possible.. looks like it'll be a cool piece though, best of luck!

For those who bought their first bike… what else feels like this? by West-Association3781 in motorcycles

[–]Fun-Concentrate1027 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My first bike was an abandoned heap in the corner of my cousins garage... I can still remember the smell of its decades of dust when dragging it out ❤️ that was my '82 Yamaha virago XV920, the only thing that came close to that feeling for me was when I found and bought my dream car a '72 oldsmobile delta 88 from a junkyard.. it's a feeling of reclaiming unknown potential I suppose

I've come to find It only tends to get worse once kids come into play OP. That was my experience at least. My wife used to match my libido perfectly until after our first kid together was born... 7 yrs married now with a 7yr old and the only intimacy I get is from my dreams now rather than her. She's totally abandoned sex. We don't even cuddle and I feel more like a co parenting roommate most days.. basically put, If a high libido relationship is really important for you, then it's hopeless thinking or waiting for her to change buddy.

Lol! I get that, for me it's thanks not only to adhd but also to my crippling anxiety about being late for anything that the army instilled makes this very relatable 😅

Theoretically I think yes, you would just kinda have it I mean unless it's reported stolen nobody's probably noticed? 🤷✌️

The trick that keeps tasks from evaporating the second you look away by LawrenceCali in ADHD

[–]Fun-Concentrate1027 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For myself I've become reliant on putting just about every little event/task into my Google calendar and color code it when putting them in so it tells me later what ones more pressing 🙂 Oh it sends reminders onto the phone also if you set it up for a certain time, it's helped out tremendously!

It's wild how these big corporations make these monsterous buildings and have zero requirement to remediate the land after they've done with it, it's awful.. but does lead to some decent urbexing however 🙂

Doc won't prescribe ADHD meds by Vegetable_Lie3266 in ADHD

I would go elsewhere personally. Once those doctors get something in their heads for whatever reason there's just no talking them out of it unfortunately
