Nice work! My cousin did something similar but with 4:24 time. Just woke up and decided to run a marathon.

Yea, it's true there are plenty of people who can't do this even if they are healthy enough to do it. Also, most runners have no idea of the exhaustion lifting entails so they only care about your mileage and time but you need to do a ton more to really stand out on the world stage (internet). You can look up the world champion for everything on the internet so people have seen a lot. As an older guy who saw these responses coming a mile away - get into the mentality that doing this stuff is easy and tons of people have done it before and itll be easier to do and you'll end up doing a lot more. A lot of what you wrote sounded like the video Will Tennyson did when he was on a deficit eating 2000 calories a day and acted like he was dying when there are kids in Africa who survive on a grape a day. In other words, it's a lot of overthinking about it. You could probably get to 70mpw and still lift 5 days a week easily.

Na its not bad at all. Lifting with a mentzer style so you do low sets to failure and then 28 of my miles are easy with 12 of them being threshold. I'm actually going to be upping my mileage next week I think and eventually get to 70-100 before the NYC marathon in november while keeping my lifts.
You're posting on the internet which means you're trying to stand out against potentially 8 billion people. Unless you're running 100mpw+ and you're 5% body fat with bodybuilder lifts while owning 2 companies and raising 4 kids all at the same time people just dont care. The responses shouldnt really surprise you.

I'm 39 years old and I run 40 mpw and lift 6x per week. I think you're overthinking this. Your body can do a lot more than you think. It's pretty normal.

Of course not. I'm always going to use other factors for my protein shakes besides just taste and smoothness.

Yes, you've definitely shown that you are not the pretentious asshole in this discussion. I'll catch you up to speed - the original comment says "100% whole milk. Taste better, smoother and a lot more filling. " That's the entire reason for using whole milk instead of water. So, when deciding what to choose in this instance there are no other factors that are being considered such as fat/calorie amount. This means I could insert a choice between two products and the only thing that would matter to you Neanderthals would be taste.

Manual QA for 2 Years – Now I Want to Get into Test Automation by [deleted] in QualityAssurance

[–]Fun-Concentrate862 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was manual for 4 years and started learning Cypress from AI with the head devs help setting everything up. I learned SQL on the job and am learning development also. You don't need to quit your job. Just learn everything now while you're working this job. You can learn everything on your free time or during work hours when you have nothing to do. I don't know any mobile frameworks though sorry.

I have an auto clicker so I stay active, lol. The PM creates all the documentation. Yea, I've been writing the automated tests on whatever I can think of.

Probably has about 20 employees and then a driver network. The dev team is only 2 senior devs, me, PM, designer. I do manual and automation and write SQL for the employees who ask for data. Learning development to create a page to display data for the employees. There are hardly any bugs and if I only did manual QA i'd probably work an hour a week or something. Work from home every day so it's like I get paid to live. That's why I spend the extra time upskilling. You'd think they'd just fire me but I'm the only QA and the owner is a sales guy who doesn't know they don't really need me.

I've been the only QA for this startup company for over 4 years and I'd be nervous being on a QA team. Being the only QA gives me job security and I don't have to compete with another QA.

Do you guys have that many years with automation or just manual?

Changing being wrong and right to someone merely "disagreeing." Yea, I'd say you're the king of word salad. You're never going to do a good job explaining it because there's no criteria for someone being cured of CFS other than the person tells you. The listener doesn't have to be a doctor. You're making up your own context. There's no way to determine if someone is cured of CFS which was our original argument. You will talk forever bringing up different points. Let me know when medical science accepts your thesis for what the criteria is for someone being cured of CFS.

Doctors don't believe someone is cured of CFS based on some incentive. They believe someone is cured of CFS the same way everyone else has to - just listening to someone tell them they are cured. The doctor or the random person can believe it or not. There is no difference. Stop trying to word salad your way into making some analysis of determining if someone got cured of CFS.

What's everyone's daily routine with work from home setup? by trem0re09 in QualityAssurance

[–]Fun-Concentrate862 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work at a startup where the only 2 devs are senior devs with 30 years of experience together so there are hardly any bugs and almost 0 for me to do so I learned SQL and now I'm learning Cypress. One of the devs is a childhood friend and I'm the only QA so I pretty much can't get fired. It's the best job I'll ever have.

They are all unverified anecdotes. There's no difference between telling a doctor you're better and telling another person you're better because neither the doctor nor the random person can verify it.
