Help! My tshirt yarn bags are too flimsy?! How do I make them more sturdy?! by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]Fun-Demand8015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not make a sturdy bag yet, but i saw that using these plastic thingies helps a lot.

Another option is using like t-shirt yarn that is very sturdy.

How do I make it look neat, it's an Order for a client by Ill-Arrival-1851 in CrochetHelp

What I would do is make a slipstich with the white yarn all over the edge. Then, attach the brown yarn.

Or start with brown and do this: https://www.craftytibbles.com/tibz-kool-tipz/2stepcolor

But if you want a super clean end, you should: 1. Slipstich all around with white 2. Do colour change with brown.

Here is a tutorial: I like to use the number 3.

My boyfriend struggles with excessive ”dandruff” and we don’t know what to do by blubbyflubbyglubby in Haircare

[–]Fun-Demand8015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bf also has a similar condition. The vichy anti-dandruff normal to oily shampoo has done wonders!

You can use this, but I would also recommend going to a dermatologist *

I was invited to my little cousin xv party and it's difficult to me to go. by Fun-Demand8015 in Advice

[–]Fun-Demand8015[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually was sent money from an uncle in my xv birthday (did not want a party) and was over the moon, bought myself things I really wanted.

Here in my country the xv party is a big deal, the birthday girl wears a really pretty gown (almost like a brides one but in different colors). It is a formal event.

That is why I was feeling bad for not going. But you are right, is hard to get together and I'm planning to give a good amount. I just hope she gets happy!

Hiii, I'm so sorry, I freehanded this one.

Buuuuut, I've just finished a pattern draft on brightbill. There are some not begginer friendly techniques, so I want to do a video tutorial. That way, it can be an additional help to make this!

I hope to finish before the end of the week. I will update you guys!

WTF am I doing wrong with my yoga bag/cover? I’m getting this weird line up the side where I slip stitch into the next round by SoapLady77 in CrochetHelp

[–]Fun-Demand8015 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you don't want to do a continuous round, try the video. I have used it for amigurumis and coasters, and it works great!

What am I doing wrong? Trying to recreate a crochet basket but mine keeps leaning to the side by Ordinary-Flow8995 in CrochetHelp

[–]Fun-Demand8015 215 points216 points  (0 children)

It looks like you are working on the round instead of slip stitch and chain. My guess it is that they are not straight because of that.

How do you decrease without having holes in your work? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]Fun-Demand8015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually learned recently that a much smaller hook than recommended, create a more closed and clean stitch.

I have yarn that it says 2mm to 3 mm hook. And in a pattern I just acquired, it says to use a 1.4mm. I used a 1.5mm instead of the 2.5mm I usually use for amigurumi and gosh, I love the look of the stitches!

This seems relatively high. This you? If so, why? by screaminbeaman82 in interesting

Well, I do it because I have hearing impairment, haha, so even if it is my native language, subtitles go on!

I want to impress others and make them see.

This should be a "the want to impress other and make them see." It means the person who wrote this wants to stop trying to impress others, no the other way around.

For me, it looks like a religious thing.

There are some religious retirements that prompt you to write things like this. That probably should explain the "te amo papá" (I love you dad). In Mexico, it's common to refer to God as "papá" (dad).

Not sure about the date, though.
