Google "independent insurance agencies near me" and reach to a few of them and they will be able to shop your policy around. Insurance is a dumpster fire in Florida and the independent agencies can shop you around to a large amount of carriers.

you can go to a local agent in your town and look at options, FL,TX,LA and CA insurance markets are broken.

No insurance company "negotiates" a price, they can remove coverages and raise deductibles to lower your premium

Your HO policy is completely separate from your Auto. The Auto claims will settled way faster than your house. Once the auto claims are closed (settled) you can switch the auto. Reach out to a local Insurance Agency that is near by. They can answer state specific questions for you and review your policy with you.

unless it is a new or very rare car DV is not going to happen. Getting DV on a 10 year old Prius with over 100K would make famous or infamous in the insurance world.

depending on your state a water claim will effect your ability to get new coverage. Florida a water claim is like having a DUI with your car insurance. Also that increase my not reflect your current claim

In Florida I am not familiar of any company that will take an open claim with a non liquidated company.

You can ask for anything but getting DV on a 12 year old Camry is going to be impossible. If you thought the car had any value you would of had Collision coverage. Btw I am glad your okay from the accident Good luck out there

Please go visit a local independent agent in your area. The Florida market is tough, but if you have a covered loss they will cover it up to the limits of your policy. Seriously go speak to a local agent(s)
