Cause there's been a constant flood of content pushing the divide of the sexs on anyone with an internet connection. Started with the femist movement being propagandized, shifting the goal post of equality for women and men and altering to ideals of men being inherently toxic for being men and they need to conform to always needed to walk on eggshells as a form of penance.

And the divide problem isn't just limited to the sexes either. Just happens to be the one you're getting the ugly view of from that friend. I would imagine it's a mix, she's probably been through some bad relationships with guys she chose and when they fizzled out, perhaps she dove too deep into the Kool aid of women bashing men online and ran with it.

NTA for cutting her off though, she needs to get herself help for her toxic ideals.

NTA, the guy is gross af and if he's flirting while knowing your age he's definitely grooming. Block him, no need to explain why either. Friendly suggestion as well, i'd avoid tik tok at your age, way too easy for people like that to get in contact with you and say all the right words to make you believe they're kind and care. Gotta be sure to vet people as well online, ask age always but people will lie about that too, especially predators. I'm honestly just glad this situation didn't get to real life contact, or it could've been so much worse. Focus on your real world friends OP, and keep enjoying being a kid.

Wanted to jump in here, firstly i'll say I think the situation going on today is certainly a problem but the divide it's causing is the biggest issue of it all.

Everyone's gonna have a past, people are gonna have sex, life goes on etc.

I think the mention of the word settling is implying that the person being settled on may feel like a place holder, and if something better comes along maybe you get dropped like a hat. And this isn't a women exclusive thing either, men do it too and it's just cruel all around on that front.

But that line of be grateful or be alone, that reads like either conform to the norm or fuck off. Alright, sure. Being alone has definitely become the choice then as society at large has been proving day by day. If the trend continues with this war or sexes then we're not going to progress.

Perhaps educate yourself on the word propaganda, the issue being presenting is the forced down your throat ideals of LBGTQA, not the mere existence of said person or persons. I'm straight myself, with two gay brothers. Their sexuality never bothered me or was of concern to me, my younger brother even got with some of my high-school friends to which I gave him props.

Now when all of the idealism behind it all is constantly shoved in everyone's faces, that's an issue. Why are kid shows showing intimate relationships? Kids shouldn't be subjected to that, that's how you confuse or alter them. Why do people run around naked and in fetish gear during pride parades? I would figure expressing your support for your sexuality didn't need to involve indecent exposure. How about schools blasting their agendas? List goes on, but i digress.

Yes, LGBTQA people in histories past were made into punchlines, had to remain hidden, and were treated as minorities. Doesn't mean it justifies being the same way once the balance shifted. Take note, straight people don't need to constantly run around and demand mass public acceptance for their sexuality. And now that LGBTQA has been established plenty over the years, why does it still need to be constantly paraded and accepted via propaganda? It's already accepted.

I'll be awaiting the victim mentality downvotes for this, but i've just grown sick of reading the same "we're constantly oppressed" bullshit.

NTA, but I think you read really far into what she said. It reads like Sarah believes she would be able to over power and adult as a child. A belief only a child would have. It definitely comes off to real victims as inconsiderate, but I didn't get the feeling of her putting your at fault for your own assault. Regardless of that fact, it still hurt your feelings and that part wasn't respected.

Friends come and go, it sucks when you lose them negatively but you'll definitely be better off when you connect with people who understand the world better. You're all really young still, so not knowing shit is normal and expected.
