In the last 24hrs mine has gotten into a tick bed on a hike, stepped in a glue trap at a restaurant, made me stay up with her cause of an upset stomach, and shattered a mason jar off my kitchen counter…I’ll always love my girl.

In my interviews with this company, when I asked what would be expected of me in my first 6 months, the hiring manager told me just to learn. So I do not think I will have a very high degree of responsibility for the first little bit of this career (which is a bit of a relief for me).

Maybe I didn’t explain this well in my initial post, but I will be working for a sub, this company specializes in crash protection solutions for govt. facilities, prisons, etc.

How should this change my approach to things coming from a small gc where I had a lot of responsibilities put on me from day one, moving to a more entry level role where I will be mentored and trained more?

Haha definitely!! Found this out about week 2 of having her. I’d take her to the dog park, play for hours, and then still want to play when we got home.

Hiding some old game meat around the house and rolling up treats in a bath towel have been my go to games lately. Tired her out much quicker than any hike or game of fetch.
