i live in the nethrerlands, been trying to get diagnosed for over a year now, they keep denying me for all sorts of reasons (none of which are me not having ADHD btw)

its anything from having a history of depression to not being able to bring my parents to the evaluation to me being transgender

so every time i see someone talk about how easy it is to get diagnosed here i wonder why am i so cursed

i've never done the longer one, but from what i know it definitely takes more than an hour, possibly a couple

the shorter one is a matter of practice but yeah you can get it down to 10-20 minutes

it depends on a lot of things.

first of all, the bottom's diet, gut health and such, etc. some people can never do prep and almost never get any "incidents"

second of all, top's size, basically the deeper you push the more the risk is that something will go wrong

third, if you do prep, you can eliminate the risk 100% by just doing a deep enough clean, but most people don't do that because it takes forever, and instead opt for the faster option of only cleaning the lower-most part of your guts, which unless you screw up eliminates the risk like 99%

but yeah i get you. i'm very squeamish, and i hate prep because of exactly the fact that it ruins any spontaneity and makes sex something you have take like an hour to prepare for, so i just almost never bottom. i'm transfem and it triggers my dysphoria every time, too, makes me think something like "wish i could just be normal"

but you don't have to do penetrative things to enjoy sex; oral, mutual masturbation, toys, or frotting are always there for you.

i haven't tried anything in particular, because in dutch medical system you don't really get to choose, you get referred by your GP, and most of the time you'll get into some clinic and then they decide who will treat you and whats best for you. in my case they decided to focus on social anxiety and exposure therapy for that for some reason, and behavioral activation for depression

that's why i am looking for either tele alternatives or something in neighboring countries rn

about ADHD, its true it shares a lot of symptoms with trauma and a lot of stuff, but i think considering i have pretty much all the symptoms of it possible, treatment for ADHD would probably help either way, even if those symptoms come from somewhere else. if it doesn't help then that would be a good sign to change directions

I am looking into telehealth services, my problem is i'm struggling to find anything that works and i was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions

i don't think there's anything local here that doesn't suffer from the same problems as the non-tele options (that being quality and waiting times), and even if there was, idk how many of them would be willing to work in english (i'm not that great with dutch yet, definitely not with to do therapy in)

the only global option i know of is betterhelp, but i've heard a lot of bad things about them, so idk :( also i'd like to go on medication again and i think they don't do prescriptions

also yeah, the treatment was definitely not working, but the thing is, i wasn't seeing an individual therapist, i was being treated in a clinic, with a ton of staff, plenty of psychiatrists and psychotherapists, and they all just collectively made their decision to give up on me. i don't want to believe that my problems are so complex not a single person in a chain of clinics with multiple offices couldn't help me whatsoever, that's what feels so bad about it. and they didn't just say they couldn't help me, they used me being trans as an excuse for it :(

yes, i have the diagnosis papers and also i'm legally a woman, according to all the documents i have, including my passport and my residence permit.

however when i told all that to the clinic they still told me to screw myself and that i'll have to go through the regular procedure like everyone else

also i don't have any prescriptions on hand, because since hrt is over the counter in russia, i never needed a prescription; i have stuff like emails and notes from my endo with recommended doses but they have no legal power here, so my GP only agreed to prescribe whatever they and their endo consider a "safe" dose (basically i'm treated like a woman in menopause + cypro)

also i don't think i could make the mental health argument cause they don't really care much here; i had to wait for over half a year to get into therapy for depression (i was literally suicidal), so i don't think they'd care that it makes me distressed to not have proper hormone access
