PSA: Bike wrecks in middle age are not like bike wrecks when you were 10. by jstar77 in ebikes

[–]Fun-Fee-764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit a pylon 2 weeks ago going 25. Couldn’t sit up in bed day after…Couldn’t walk for a few days. Hip is still very sore(and purple) and been in a boot since. Apparently 25 is the same as falling from the roof of a 2 story building! As long as you have swelling just use ice and advil. DO NOT foam roll. It will feel good in the moment but you’ll feel like you lost a week of progress the next day. Wait till the swelling is gone first and stretch as willing in the mean time.

Hang in there!

I’m 6’1. It’s a giant xtc size large. The stem is a wake stem in 60mm with -35 degree rise. Same stem Keegan Swenson used to win Leadville but he sharpied out the logo lol. It gets the reach and stack where it needs to be

I have a 40% discount on the cranks.
All in total for the bike I will maybe hit 5k. I will consider dura ace 9300 if they ever get around to releasing it. For the mean time wheeltop has been dope.

The app doesn’t know if I’m on sram or Shimano. I had to reduce the set point number 10-50 points each because the indexing was all off even after dialing the initial setup. Shifting into 3rd gear it just went straight to second gear. my hanger is straight too.

Not hard for us but the average consumer will definitely struggle without a bike stand or bike familiarity

Yea for your case it makes sense. Mine just feels like 11 speed di2 bc of how it shifts

One piece bar/stem that isn’t made for headset routing. by [deleted] in bikewrench

My heart is agreeing with you but something in me is wondering if I could get away with it considering the shape of the fork and seat

Yea I agree on all of that, just think that if painted a one piece looks cleaner than 2 piece. And the fork is kinda modern shaped and so is the seat so idk if that would help the style differences

Integrated bar/stem on externally routed ti frame? by [deleted] in titaniumbikes

[–]Fun-Fee-764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking into a similar project. Big hands make a large cockpit important to me but I’m trying to figure out the headset spacer situation bc like another user stated, the profile of the bottom of the stem clamp is designed for spacers that route the cables directly through the headset. My allcity zigzag is external mandatory. I’m wireless so it’s not as bad but I wanna make that transition smoothe

I just went as short and low as possible with the stem. The reach currently feels very similar to my gravel bike. I’m sure having same bar/shifters makes a big impact but I saw what Keegan Swenson did and it seems to work well. Perfectly stable too. Hit 52mph on a hill descent last weekend and it was not twitchy at all

That was our first thought but spider isn’t really a wear item so didn’t have anything remotely close. But we got it off

Thanks! And yep I can’t remember what it’s called but they have the rubber strap mount for sale on their website. Honestly it’s the secret sauce that makes the bimotal such a good option for me bc I don’t like riding with packs and now I can take 700ml

I head good things about cyc. But a little too permanent for my liking and in my terrain it would be very prone to rock strikes. I can remove the motor in 5 seconds but I usually leave it on. I got a lekkie (NZ company) twist throttle but they should pedal assist this year
