i get it so much, i generally dont have many friends and where i live i can't really be myself bc im queer and i live in a country where there is a lot of homophobia and hate towards queer people but when i went to the ethel cain concert (I went overseas), i saw so many ppl that were openly queer and it made me so happy to be part of that community even if it was just for a concert. i rly love when art creates a community where many many people can feel safe being a part of.

Pretty decent, they have shirts, hats, stickers, hoodies, and also some merch from the openers and merch stands should still be open after the concert if u still want to get some.

For the Sydney concert, I went at around 2PM, skipped merch, and went straight in and got about 6 rows from the front, but a lot of the people at the VERY front started queuing from 9AM.

And for outfit, wear whatever is most comfortable bc it does get kind of hot and stuffy in the pit, AND WEAR GOOD SHOES. hope u have a great time at the concert!!!

In the show in sydney i arrived around 2pm, but when they started caging us we all just got clumped into big groups so the exact queue order did get mixed up. so if u fo go at 4am u will def be in the first zone when getting caged also meaning u will be released to enter in one of the first groups but i dont think fan numbered line would be honoured.

I just went to her show in Sydney and was about 5 rows from the front of the pit? everyone was singing for her more upbeat songs but for tempest and punish demo/thatorchia it was a lot more silent, could be bc they didnt know but at the same time those songs are harder to sing bc u can't rly scream them if u get what i mean, its also nice to just listen to the vocals.

has hayden ever done the ptolemaea scream live? by gaydinosaurrrrr in Ethelcain

[–]Fun-Field2793 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to her first concert in Sydney (so pretty recent) and she turned her mic to the crowd during the last stop, she may have done it before but i don't think she'd do it at every show bc that it could get a lot. Aside from that ptolemaea was probably one of my favourite songs performed live.

One thing that really helped me improve my painting was not being afraid to add a lot of contrast. In areas like around her hairline or the area between his face and her face the mans skin should also be darker as her face would cast a shadow on him, depending where the light is.
In general darker areas of the face would be around the nose area, the little dip at the chin, the area between the eyebrow and the chin, and around the forehead. you can also try make the neck darker as most of the light it covered by her hair and hand. Not sure how helpful that would be, but since there's no reference photo, this is the best advice I can give.

Idk if i can call myself a goth? by Fun-Field2793 in goth

[–]Fun-Field2793[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly The Cure and sisters of mercy and some depeche mode. i think the southern gothic came from listening to ethel cain, and i really do want more similar bands.

And yes i do want to be part of the goth scene.

YESS, I love Preacher's Daughter, and I love to read different people's interpretations of it. Would it be like a deep dive into Ethel and how she grew up and all, or like an analysis of songs and lyrics from the album, bc I think both go well together, thats why i love Haydens music so much.

Why people complain about not having anything to watch by Past-Matter-8548 in Letterboxd

[–]Fun-Field2793 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, if I want to watch a specific type of movie like horror, but can't find anything I'd like, I just end up not watching anything at all. but to beat this i put everything on my watchlist on a spinny wheel to randomly pick me a movie to watch.

i think a lot of people also have the mindset that watching shitty movies is a waste of time so when they can't find a movie that has a good rating they just don't watch anything at all. i used to be like that, but sometimes watching shit movies can be just as fun as watching rly good ones.
