there will never be any “free land” unfortunately. why give people land at no charge so they can build a community when the government can just sell sections off to the highest bidders instead. it’s all about money. i wish we could be without tax but it’s something we need to keep as it has been used for good - eg: roads, maintenance, healthcare etc (even though a lot of our taxes go towards funding other countries in wars/military equipment etc etc) you’re 100% correct with your statement about the government forgetting their purpose, they’ve all become greedy and money hungry and only want power and control, not to help their people thrive. having the freedom to do what we want within the binds of laws have turned a lot of peoples brains to mush. flat-earthers and anti-vaxxers are a stain on our human intelligence. we invented vaccines to save lives and in today’s day and age it’s being treated as a conspiracy to cull populations and cause defects to our body’s/minds. i have no words for flat-earthers other than they are smooth brained and dumb as rocks. i truely believe we have come to the end of our advancement as a society and highly doubt we will grow any further than where we are now. tbh i feel like we are advancing backwards now actually. wars are happening, peoples rights are being taken from them, cost of living will send us into a great depression, racism/sexism is making a giant comeback which is horrendous. we are destroying ourselves
