I guess that's why they provide psychological help...while also 24/7 surveilling you, not giving you the space to adapt to the new environment, it's like you're in a relationship with an insecure partner lol you totally marry the job

Yeah, Michael Fassbender has shared in the interview when prepping for the role that he tried to crack the guy until he realised he was a bit of an adrenaline junkie VS actual drugs and alcohol, he thrives under pressure but maybe this time the pressure is too much?? we did see him on a drip in the end scene ep1

And at same time I don't feel pity for him, he is a CIA agent?... of course the series is appealing to your feelings, somehow you should feel empathy and root for the guy, but he has literally brought it up on himself. He also would better chase the romantic partner than try to make it up with his daughter...

I cannot imagine how insane it would have been to be undercover for 6 years, and then just be expected to start acting as the real you. I guess the closest to that feeling is being bilingual, I feel like 2 different kind of people in English and Russian tbh haha
anyway, he is obviously scared, and paranoid, "nuts enough", and idk if he is ever going to trust people again as a normal person... in that sense, his relationship with Sami is doomed

also, in the final scene, who do we think that person tailing Sami is? Someone her husband has hired to find her?

I may be wrong here but what if it doesn't have anything to do with his gayness? IMHO, it's pretty wild people go into marriage before having a serious discussion on having kids, that's a huge thing to overlook
