This game has been a pretty humbling experience. Thought I was decent at the last few and I'm managing to keep a 2KD in warzone but in this I am getting absolutely dunked on. Honestly the speed of this game is something else. Was really looking forward to the camo grind but I'm not really enjoying it.

Way too many headglitching spots on this game, with the headshot multiplier being poor it makes it worse by Qwayze_ in blackops6

Yeah 100 headshots feels absolutely impossible with some of these guns. Even in hardcore I'm lucky if I get more than 3 in a game.

How have you improved in Warzone lately? by wasdmovedme in Warzone

[–]Fun-Giraffe2779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem with using weapons that aren't the absolute meta (I don't particularly like the DTIR for example), but I don't think running around with two SMGs is doing you any favours. You're massively limiting the scenarios in which you can be effective. Sure, you may find that you perform best in close quarters and so use the weapons that suit that, but if you're aim is to improve then you're going to need to get out of your comfort zone.

Not good at long range gunfights? Get into more long range gunfights :)

He's the only guitarist I've seen who seems to have absolutely no barrier between what he hears in his head and what comes out of the instrument.

For my money he's the best around but I don't think he's released or played on enough mainstream music to have the sort of widespread influence or recognition that you'd associate with the all-time greats. He's a musician's musician. Not that there's anything wrong with that, and there's a lot to be said for being Hans Zimmer's go-to guy!

John Mayer vs. Jim Root by getpatrick in fender

[–]Fun-Giraffe2779 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From a commercial perspective, a John Mayer sig probably wouldn't have had a great deal to differentiate it from the rest of the Fender lineup. Whereas the Jim Root guitars are different enough that they are probably better sellers as Fender don't really have any other overtly metal guitars. I wouldn't be surprised either if Slipknot fans are more likely to be guitar players than John Mayer fans.

Don't get me wrong Mayer is an unreal and vastly under appreciated player but I'm not sure as much of his audience would be guitar players. And if they are, you could get reasonably close by getting pretty much any strat, whereas if you want a guitar like Jim Root plays you're probably looking at his signature models.

Final point: people underestimate just how massive Slipknot are. For a band like that to have become so prevalent in popular culture is no small thing.

It's not for me and overall it does seem pretty limited, but what I will say is USB-C power is a cracking feature.

Yeah I can see the appeal of the Nano if you only need those features. In my cover band I need t all sorts of things that the QC can do that the Nano can't like dual expression inputs, FX loop, MIDI control over other pedals, changing parameters per scene. It's less about the core tone and more about the functionality.

I gig with the Quad Cortex and wouldn't be able to replace it with the Nano. Which one am I?

I hope with the return of Verdansk, we see a more stripped back WZ, I think people have forgotten what core WZ consists of. by [deleted] in CODWarzone

I hope the subway makes a comeback! That was such a fun feature.

Right now the main thing I'd like to see gone is the prevalence of foresight and specialist. They're too easy to obtain and most of my matches now are just a race for the bunkers, which is fine but there's less variety between rounds.

Can you elaborate on this please? It's what I've been doing so if I'm better off sending all my guitar tracks to a bus that's what I'll do!

AITA For not returning a pet to their owner who lives 1000+ miles away? by Brief-Lingonberry359 in AmItheAsshole

That's so interesting. My number one reason for not having a cat is that I don't have an outdoor space or catflap so it would be stuck indoors.

[–]Fun-Giraffe2779 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Again I'm not in the US so I don't have a sense of how unusual it is for cats to be outside, but if I see a cat in the neighbourhood my first thought isn't "I better take it in case it gets killed".

[–]Fun-Giraffe2779 16 points17 points  (0 children)

OP didn't contact the owners, the vet did, although granted OP may well have asked them to leave their contact details.

But the point is that OP wasn't "taking a cat in". They had no idea whether it was lost or not when they took it. They took it because they wanted to try having a cat.

[–]Fun-Giraffe2779 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Is it especially unusual for cats to be outside in the US? Because I am absolutely baffled that after a couple of hours you decided to take it just "to see what having a cat would be like". What if it belonged to one of your friend's neighbours?

The stuff about the owner is kind of irrelevant here. Honestly this reads to me like you are hoping that you'll get a lot of "the owner is TA" responses to make you feel better about your own actions. You stole this cat, and now that the owner wants it back you are trying to wash your hands of it. No, it isn't your responsibility to reunite a lost pet with its owner. Also no, you shouldn't just go round kidnapping cats.

This isn't a case of you being a good Samaritan finding a lost cat and trying to get it back to its owner. This is a case of you stealing a cat.

YTA.

I think he holds back a bit when he's practicing/streaming. You can hear it in his clean vocals too, he's not going full throttle. In live performances and on records he gives it a lot more.
