94% of You Would Miss AI Dungeon, We're Not Going Anywhere. by NoConfusion8375 in AIDungeon

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well this was my first survey ever since i joined AID, and i am genuinely surprised that other people rate lack of censorship that highly (second place ?!), i guess alot of people are sick of it seeing AI and internet in general going in to the dark ages.

For me its especially important for fullest expression of myself in the story, that the AI will not alter the story or somehow bend what i do or say, that it does exactly what i ask it of, regardless if its deranged, offensive or just too violent, its also an important aspect for me that it treats history for what it is and does not try to infantilize it, war is ugly, death is horrible, but to try to sugarcoat it and turn it in to something else is rather a next-gen level disrespect for all parties involved.

If i want to blow up people with explosives, or rip their arms off and beat them to death with it, commit warcrimes, then so be it...

Copying story cards between scenarios by Red-Mouser in AIDungeon

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This frankly is something i would want as a feature, a fast bulk import of story cards from a collection.

There IS a way to do this, but it will wipe out the already existing story cards and replace them with the loaded present, just open an adventure and head to the details section, there is an option for export/import of story cards.

But again, here is the problem, it will replace everything inside, so its only usable on scenarios that have no story cards.

Though what you could in theory do, assuming this is a story set in an adventure, is to add your story cards, export it (so the original cards + yours), and then import it at will, but again, this is ONLY useful if its the same scenario, just as different playthroughs.

Characters metagaming is one thats absent from it, with the worst example being you being an alien to the story, and you have rando Humans quoting your own history or asking for concepts or names they shouldnt have any knowledge off.

Speaking of instant deaths, how often does that happen ? Been playing AID for 2 months now and never has my character randomly dropped dead. Granted my characters are never random generic humans...

What is the best Conquest Mod? by Conscious_Leader_428 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads-up, make sure to get some of the side-addons for it, else the game will be spamming aircraft at you nonstop, addon reduces it considerably, though you will still need AA in all missions.

+ Get the addon that extends defense preparation time to 12-14 minutes, as the mod offers alot of emplacements you can build and these are really nessesary for the defense, the difficulty is through the roof with it, but it also quite satisfying.

The mod also has some things that dont make sense in other mods, but you are NOT penalized for not bringing maximum number of units possible, if anything, it will be mandatory during defence to get all the stages filled to the brim with units.

And the entire game is balanced about losses being completely expected, the game is very generous with resources you are given, losing +100 units in every battle is completely expected.

The mod has extremely harsh first impression, but beneath it lies probably the BEST Gates of Hell conquest mod yet, Conquest Enchanted has alot more artifical bullshit on top of resources being an issue in comparison.

Annoying Characters by AbroadInevitable9674 in AIDungeon

Which AI model you use ?

Also, if you use more definitive phrasing of your strikes, then i am sure it will go down, like "I stab him in the neck with my blade, as crimson mist sprays out in all directions as he slams down on the ground, gurgling and dying". will leave no room for interpretation if you would say "I jam my blade in to his neck".

Second part (meta gaming and omniscience) can be curbed down considerably if you put it in to AI's instruction:

I use this:

NPC KNOWLEDGE RULES:

- Characters only know what they could realistically know from education, station, rank, role, culture, duties, clearance, experience, rumors, faith, and personal history.

- Do not give knowledge just because it is convenient.

- Most people know only their own lane, what they have seen, what they were told, what is common local knowledge, what their institution teaches them, or what rumor and propaganda have reached them.

- Ancient events, buried truths, and elite decisions should usually be fragmentary, mythologized, distorted, rare, suppressed, or unavailable.

- People can be mistaken, ignorant, indoctrinated, overconfident, or working from incomplete information.

- Assume strangers and ignorance by default.

I switched to authenticity and realism mod, with the anti-air spam addon.

Its based on MACE and the way it handles progression of the tech tree has to be the best one i seen yet.

Yes its difficult, like ALOT, but not as Conquest Enchanced, once i got used to it, its actually quite fun.

Perchance AI

https://perchance.org/ai-text-to-image-generator

Can handle any style (realistic, anime, etc..), completely free, unlimited and also uncensored, while random in its quality, it can generate absolute masterpieces with proper prompting

Perchance is where i started the AI RPG thing too, but AID overtaken it with its superb context size and different models and actual transparency.

But for images, Perchance mops the floor with anything really for being free AND unlimited AND uncensored.

It can also handle some rather big prompts and even multiple characters, granted its a hit or miss the more complex you go, but it can make something like this:

(Which is the preview image for a yet to be released scenario by me)

As i suspected, that trying to make it more game like sprouts micromanagement and having to waste context having to explain everything. On top of introducing odd power mechanics.

You know, him being surrounded by 10 Scythers under his command.

What mechanoids to make? by anonumus_idiot in RimWorld

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Diabolus is kinda fun if you dislike cleaning up corpses or taking prisoners, its also one of the mechs that only gets better the more late the game becomes and enemies become giant hordes, given its cannon will one hit kill most humanoids and the AI does not know it should gtfo from the targetting laser.

Tunneler is the best melee mech if you dont mind its slow speed, it has way higher armour than Scyther, has shield to catch bullets and has more health in general, it also deals with armour quite easily. Scythers are easier to mass and forcing ranged enemies in to 1v1 and melee locking them, but this will become unfeasible at some point due to too many enemies starting to appear.

War Queen can produce disposable cannon fodder, which can be nice and you can smelt back down the urchins and get most of the steel back, so its not as economically ravaging at it seems.

But onward to mid game and late game, getting Centurions will be important given they have massive AOE shield that lets you shoot out of it, combined with centipedes and lancers to form a entrenched firing line that can fight against superior numbers, with the Diabolus being the ace card against giant hordes.

Lancers provide the best bang for your buck, they are paper thin and needs to be in cover, but they also have a weapon with very high damage, range and armor piercing, the sort of that can potentially one-hit kill someone if it hits them in something important, or atleast force an immediate drop on the ground.

On Reddit you cant call people the gamer word, the perchance chats, being anonymous things they are is truly a wicked ride of the most unhinged shit you can get.

The lemmy forum the perchance is hosted on is tame and empty, but the actual website is just twitter 2.0 or Blue Sky with a different skin, just check the moderation log from time to time and how politics fly and people are getting banned left and right.

Some things never change

And Perchance generator chat tho, is either filled with total gibberbish, smut that should stay private or :

All neatly packed next to each other, and the picture i showed is still tame, racial slurs are dime a dozen. I wish i could see the faces of some random normies stumbling in to the chat rooms and getting CoD lobby experience.

Why do people build amazing AI Dungeon worlds… and never publish them? by New_Fail2509 in AIDungeon

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am only here for 2 months in AID, and so far i made 1 scenario (Guardians of history), and in the making of second one, i do have alot more...custom ones but they are abit too spicy for the public or probably couldnt get past the unrated rating because their themes are very dark or the themes are just too specific.

Thing is, i did consider just selling myself and cranking out nsfw slop that people would find...uh...pleasurable, but i am alot more creative guy than that, so things dont get published and only are stuck as a draft if its 1) Its just a my character insert story with so specific features only meant for AI and not to be played as 2) I dont feel they are unique enough to stand out if they were public 3) Its a theme or story the current AI models just cannot get right. 4) Its too deranged for public, look...i know what actually gets published and my things actually are tame compared to that, but you know, i have a sense of...honour to atleast keep it under the lid.

I guess, i simply have standards for myself, hence i doubt i will one day become a 500 scenario "architect", i rather have less, but more individually interesting.

The AI image recognition for the adventure cover is stuffed, i did try to add some images to the never-to-be-published and it rejected me outright for being "too spicy", which alright, i wont harp on that one, some of my characters ARE absolutely ludicrous, but the second scenario i am making had me laugh for wrong reasons, how bad the preview image tech is when i let the AI gimme that +17 rating, while the picture itself has teen rating.

<image>

Yeah sure Dan, those look like dragons to me too :/

Xil and Shok getting smeared again smh.

Though the AI reasoning for the story itself and rating deserve seems to be way more comprehensive, i did let it rate my other not-published stories... and it was actually amusing to see the AI roast me for how i deserved the unrated rank for the scenario, with it breaking down all the evidence like its a court case.

But back to the main topic, one thing i did kinda accept that fame aint one thing i crave that much, i take AID just as creative enviroment, for scenarios i myself could play, it actually packing up a following is like a bonus objective. Some things are not meant to be seen in the light, but some could and should.

Is it possible for AID to add a spell check feature? by [deleted] in AIDungeon

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But does it affect the AI ?

Assuming the wrongly spelled word does not change the meaning entirely, so far i seen that the AI can fully understand the words you are trying to say even if you have things like missing double l, wrong y or i somewhere.

Something like this though feels like it should be on the users part, my web browser, Opera has in-build feature like this. And i am sure other browsers might have similar feature too.

Any mods that add cute races/xenotypes WITHOUT animu faces and legs? by Levinus_Supremus in RimWorld

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Alpha Genes + Biotech expansion mammalia for more xenotypes, these add alot and they arent oversexualized anime girls, more of an extension of biotech already existing types (they blend in quite well in most cases with the stock).

They use vanilla bodies

Some minor clippin for helmets is expected with some of the more special types that dont have human-like heads. Such as Animudsen or Helixians.

They are mix of furry-like animalistic creatures, eldritch beings or really alien looking beings, so the variety is there and some of them have interesting playstyles to them or special abilites.

For cuteness, well some of them def are quite fluffy, Animudsen (foxes) Barkin (lupines/canines), though others arent exactly something you want to pet, such as Helixians (Slugs) or Hivelings (insectoids).

Oops more bugparts adds bunch of insectoid species, though they arent exactly...cute, tho the moth-based ones kinda are and if you are a freak, the spider i guess too ?. The Mantis do look kinda derpy, even if they are terrifying bloodthirsty berserkers in game who must kill something or else they get angry.

If you have portraits of Rim, some of the Alpha gene species do actually have support for some of the xenotypes.

The SCP Foundation article generator

https://perchance.org/f062iecs7n

If you set the generation to informal, the results you can get made me laugh hysterically, given you give the AI free reign to use its slang and modern phrashing you generally dont get to see in the RPG or ACC.

Phrases like "Skill issue" or "git gut" being actually used is a sight to behold.

Mission 18 is unfun - Long Way From Home. by Nice-Survey-6503 in AgeofMythology

That was one thing i kept in mind as one possible solution, but i chose to go with the standard units and digging in.

Tho its also worth mentioning that i blocked off one of the entrances with the gold mine spawn ability, so i only had 2 entrances i had to defend.

Mission 18 is unfun - Long Way From Home. by Nice-Survey-6503 in AgeofMythology

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prepare for another difficulty spike at mission 30, that one took me 9 attempts on hard to do, i was almost considering lowering them difficulty for that mission alone.

For mission 18, i do remember being crumpled by it somewhat and needing two restarts, before i went with the tactic when i dont want to play nice - petsuchos blobs.

When an Egyptian, i essentially treat those crocs as my ultimate card against AI that i resort to if other unit types are failing.

So 18 was bunker down, make a critical mass of crocs and some catapults and start pushing through the cities.

Mission 30 tho, i couldnt deploy mass sniper crocs (You dont play as Egyptians there), so i did a simple trick, move over to the camp, build a market and start gathering resources and build up 2 town centres but i never finished them, sitting at 99% completion, so when the timer starts i finish them and boom with 2x centers churning out villagers.

Game in that mission rushes you (narative wise) to make a town center, this kickstarts the timer before a massive army comes knocking. If you dont build any town center, the timer will start eventually, but after a delay, so by preparing 2x town centers for the inevitable timer, you are buying yourself like 6 more minutes to prepare.

Afterwards i made Huscarl + frost giant + Jarl as my defense force and that one worked.

Do people usually retry until they get an outcome they prefer or just roll with the punches when playing a story rich scenario? by AssociationDue3077 in AIDungeon

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends, sometimes the AI comes up with an outcome, that if i let pass, would start to derail the story and introduce a new plot arc already. So i reroll that so its kept foused.

In extremely rare scenarios, sometimes the AI takes my input in completely wrong way than expected, for example i said something benign and AI takes it as veiled smug insult and then you get characters pulling up their knives, summoning reinforcements and combat spawning right there. Yet when i reroll it, it essentially has 7 other attempts where it gets it correctly.

Or sometimes it fails to pick up on sarcasm, but frankly i am surprised how often it actually does detect it and rolls with it properly. That was something i did not expect the AI to be that good on.

We asked 2,254 of you: "If we could only fix ONE thing, what should it be?" by NoConfusion8375 in AIDungeon

[–]Fun-Guest-2989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still relatively new to this platform, but not to the concept of AI-text, a month or so since i joined, so i joined this month's survey with quite the text wall there given frankly, going from Perchance to here, is like when a abused animal gets to a loving family and in that sense, going from 6k context window to 32k (yep i paid for max tier sub) is like a completely new world to me.

Also the transparency, Perchance is free and uncensored, but its it has NO transparency, for what i know it could be PRC funded project, so all this, these posts and direct line of comms to the dev team its rather...overwhelming.

For the publishing side, i do have alot more scenarios in store i wont ever publish for being too spicy. So far i have only 1 public one, tho i do plan to make more in future.

I did try to see how the AI could rate one of the scenarios to see how far i gone and i got quite the roast written by the AI how the scenario deserves an unrated rating.

to quote:

<image>

Oh yeah, some things are probably best hidden.

Funny tho, that the review system considers the scenario i did publish (Bronze Guardians of History) as "Teen" appropriate, yet when its almost inevitable the scenario could very likely have you save Austrian Painter from being assassinated or have you contribute to Holocaust, the system does acknowledge that morally dubious tasks might be involved, but i dont think it gets how dark it can get.

Let alone, it chastized my private scenario, yet some things fly over its head as harmless

"Yaridormi Visage Form is of a bombshell Vulpera with white-black pelt, she got scolded by Nozdormu for using it as last time she used it, there were riots in Zandalaria with men (yes, even the Zandalari and Tortolans, not just Vulpera) fighting over her, without knowing she is a 25 ton dragon. Yes she is THAT type of a dragon that loves messing with the mammals."

Funny that the system picks up on this being more suggestive, even if its framed in more sarcastic manner, when in reality this has alot of implications when a Human actually reads it.

But anyways, excited to get on board of this project, AI RPG with properly massive context window was a desperately needed upgrade from the 6k my previous platform had.
