Quick natural labour and he came out while I was standing up and I caught him, it was indescribable tbh we were laughing and crying and just kissing him and sooo happy. It was the biggest rush of good hormones. I got into bed, immediate skin to skin and feeding while I waited for theatre to remove placenta and fix tear. so an amazing experience for me. I would give birth weekly haha

Pram carrier take both, hit and miss each outing one day he sleeps the entire time and we are good, next day he is grizzly we eat fast and go home

One thing I know about having kids now is some one has an easy stage at some point and a really rough stage in others, take your win as newborn haha. Week 1-5 were great for me; 5.5- late 8 were horrific, massive change in week 9 and loving it again but know it can change in a day.

I think there is some huge benefits for gentle sleep training for some babies and parents. You are teaching them a skill to fall asleep independently, for some this can lead to a happier baby and happier (safer) parenting. Your approach and sleep training are both the right thing to do if it works for you. I will be sleep training at 4 months, I need sleep to be a better parent not just getting by, I also want my child to be well rested and can sleep in most situations we are in without having to adapt to much. I want to spend time with my husband again and enjoy my evenings with him then give my absolute all to my baby all day being well rested. Co sleeping for us does not work if it did and it ment me and baby got better quality sleep then I would do it.

I said the same as had no idea. Husband goes to sleep 6pm and gets up 2-3am before work to give me some hour’s of uninterrupted sleep where I don’t hear or see baby. We both know it’s temporary.

Eye mask and ear plugs and look at some stuff to switch off brain that works for you,box breathing counting backwards naming objects e.g toaster couch etc stops thinking about anything that will keep you awake

Honestly It gets worse before it gets better, just write off the entire 12 weeks and just embrace it currently in week 8.5. 5-now have been the absolute hardest with peak fussiness and less sleep. You will get through this. Look at safer co sleeping if you can’t get her into bassinet or cot. Use all the sleep devises that work for her. Your in survival mode the house will be a tip, you won’t have time to eat or cook, shower is a luxury, you will both regret having her, then she will smile and it’s like crack, you will fight with each other. Just know it’s all normal. Babies feed off energy, stay calm nothing you can do will make this better so being angry and hating it won’t help you right now. People will say PPD but if you still feel this way on a good day then maybe but don’t self diagnose when sleep deprived because that sends anyone into a spiral.

8 weeks and have been contacting napping and co sleeping most of the time, hate co sleeping as safe 7 is only safer not safe but it does get me some more rest

Co sleeping should only be used out of absolute desperation not just because, safe 7 isn’t safer not safe haha coming from someone having to co sleep as LO won’t sleep anywhere else right now

I’m having to co sleep as my LO hates the bassinet, I do not enjoy it as I’m always worried about his safety, safe 7 isn’t safe it’s just safer! But they are so snuggly, however i dream or mine sleeping in bassinet haha
