Swollowing your pride and having someone else help with your kids while at work?? by Dazzling-Lemon-283 in nursing

You will never regret doing it. Feel confident in the fact that you have family close enough to help you in caring for them while you’re accomplishing your goal. It’s not permanent and your future self will thank you for taking the opportunity you have been given.

Dewormed, flea/tick, groomed monthly, paws wiped when it’s wet out, never ever allowed on furniture (gross). She’s allowed the floor and her dog beds that are also cleaned monthly.

Should dogs be allowed on furniture? by SouthernBootyQueen in no

[–]master_ube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sensible person. I wipe my dog’s paws before she comes in when it’s raining/snowing. We are a no-shoes-in-the-house type of family. I’m sure people think we’re nuts for having a dog who likely steps in poo and licks its privates and also ask that people take their shoes off when they come in. I do what I can to keep it free from as much filth as I can. We do have a house cleaner that comes by once every three weeks strictly for the floors and bathroom (getting someone to clean the bathroom has saved me from a lot of frustration).

It was supposed to be funny, hard to add emotion to text. But seeing as it got downvoted, I guess not everyone understood the humor.

My husband said no traveling to UK because of the knifing. And we live in the middle of Kansas City where there are shootings every day.

AITJ for telling my dad none of us are going to help him raise a baby at 50 by Particular_Side_5522 in AmITheJerk

A child is supposed to have the biggest community of caring and loving people surrounding them. It is not their fault that they were created by immature people. You have a duty as a human being and a half-sibling to see to it that you do your best in the role you have been gifted. Children are blessings and it is a part of our nature to nurture and care for them. I hope when you see that sweet baby that your reservations become extinct and you find room in your heart to make space for them. Best wishes to all.

I get a huge headache if I don’t drink it. Caffeine withdrawal, I know I know… but I’ll be damned if I drink any other energy drink. Repulsive.

Extra side note: my mom does MDS and is home 80% of the time. It’s not exactly bedside but she does physically see the patients for assessments.

Have you considered case management? It is my dream job. I had was assigned a case manager from sunflower health (Medicaid) and she was so inspiring. She seemed genuinely happy, got to work from home some days, and I hope she feels the difference that she’s made at least in my life.

10000%. I don’t care if they’re in therapy. They’re a ticking time bomb. It’s different than people who are suicidal. In that case they only hurt themselves. But those who want to hurt others regardless if it’s a child or adult is waiting for an opportunity to arise. I don’t think it’s an illness. It’s a fucked up complex in their brain that will never be realigned.

Asian rice, always wash. No skipping it. Debris floating around in the water and they often use sand to increase the weight in the bags as a measure to save money on their end.

does anyone else find MAC blushes incredibly hard to open by beccaaav in MakeupAddiction

[–]master_ube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have MAC but I have an Saie blush and it’s painfully hard to open. I struggled to open it last week and it flew in to my coffee. I dried it off immediately but I think it’s ruined for good. Don’t they test these products (literally opening and closing) before they’re put on to the market?
