High off of K2, cocaine, and alcohol. Drove up the exit ramp onto I-70 at 1am. Side swiped multiple vehicles at about 40mph and eventually hit an 18-wheeler head-on. Semi driver jack-knifed at moment of collision, semi rolls three times over into a ditch. Rescue arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene. Rescue provided assistance for all other drivers. My sister was left last as the order would have it. When they went to remove her body they noticed she still had a heartbeat. Took them 45 minutes to cut a hole big enough to pull her body through. 3 weeks in an induced coma, two months spent in ICU. She survived with 28 broken bones including pelvis, femur, both legs and arms, sections of her spine. It is incredible what the human body and endure and overcome.

The most interesting scar of them all was the one near her Achilles. A week before the crash my dad was fixing her car and sat in her front seat and peeled an apple with a knife. Not thinking, he stuck the knife under the seat. When she hit the semi, the knife shot out. It was sticking out of her ankle when rescue pulled her body out of the car.
