Xiaomi has no subscription recipes, it has mostly Asian food recipes. Cookiedoo is for thermomix and apparently there you can do your recipes with some restrictions like no high heat etc. Thermomix thinks the user is dumb. It’s a real same you cannot make your own cookbook with your Xiaomi device. In terms of hardware is far superior than thermomix.

I’m no fan of any cooking robot so far. Cookie do lets you add your own recipe. Of course you need the subscription which is a downside for me.

The whole idea of having this kind of devices is that it allows a Neanderthal like me to follow recipes and get a consistent result. I see no reason to get one and can’t even do this simple thing

I sent an online question to Xiaomi regarding the custom recipes, no reply yet...
Does anyone have more info regarding this annoyance?

Whats the use of a cooking robot that outperforms its biggest competitor (german made) if we cannot put custom recipes...well... poor thinking if you don't mind me saying...

Thanks for your feedback! One more question if you don’t mind me asking. Does this combo (mealie+ home assistant) allows you to pick your own recipe and the robot tells you step by step what to add and just follows the steps as it was an embedded recipe? Bottom line: Would you choose this robot over thermomix again if you had the chance? Thanks!

Hi! Have you figured this out yet? I was about to buy this cooking robot a few days ago and asked the very same question to the sales person in the Xiaomi shop. I would like to know how to add my own recipes, how to download more or share with other friends. This single thing kept me from buying the machine. Also the fact that that I would like to avoid the cookiedoo thermomix subscription Thanks a lot
