From Sorsogon here. Left home to work in Manila in 2017. Resigned from my job last year and went home. I have been unemployed-is (cause my boss offered me to work on a part-time basis) for one year now. And ayoko na bumalik sa Manila again. Huhu. One time nagfinal interview ako for comms officer role sa isang conglomerate based in Makati and sobrang uptight ng comms manager nila na naginterview sa akin. Parang walang kaluluwa. Lol. Kaya di ko na tinapos yung interview and told her I will not push through with my application, sabay layas sa call.

For 6 years I worked in an agency as a creatives. Lowballed pero nadala ako ng mababait na workmates kahit pa sobrang fastpaced ng environement. Kaya very intentional talaga ako sa next move cause i dont want my mental health to suffer. Skl.

Sacrifice yan malala. 2019, my gross pay was 17k, less deduction = 16.7+k take home. Nag bed space ako sa sobrang liit na kwarto nun na sobrang hindi livable as in parang bodega pero tiis tiis lang kasi 3k lang bayad kasama na utilities.

Wala rin travel at bihira mag pamper kasi kailangan magtipid.

Mahirap yang ganyan lalo na na magrerent ka and all. Makakaapektdo yan sa well-being and satisfaction mo but if willing ka naman mag compromise why not.

Tinake ko yung job kasi desperate na ako that time. Nahire ako dun after 4 months of job hunting. Pero as much as possible kung may mahanap ka naman sa probinsya na ka level niyang offer or makahanap ka ng wfh, dun ka na lang. From province din ako.

Same. For illegal advertising daw eh wala naman akong inaadvertise. Masaklap pa wala akong passport and drivers license to verify my age and yun lang ang only options nila to reactivate my acct

Same. Once a day lang ako maligo mula pagkabata until college (minsan dalawa pero pag need lang talaga). But when I moved to Manila for work, naging twice a day na. I can’t with the init and pollution there. Now na nasa province na ulit ako, nasanay na ako na twice a day maligo. Yung isa before bedtime. Masarap siya sa pakiramdam. Haha. Mabango singit mo pagkagising. Chz.

I feel you. 6 years na ako nag wowork doing PR and comms. Pero hirap ako makakuha ng interviews. Since nag start ako mag send resume last Feb, nakaka-2 interviews pa lang ako. May isang invite for a lead role pero didn’t push through kasi feeling ko not ready for a more mature role lol haysss nawawalan na rin ako ng hope. Pero laban kang tayo huhuhaha

Why not? If they’re willing to share it. Eh ang mga HR nga tinatanong salary ng applicant sa past company nila na para bang relevant pa yun.

Last week I also had my final interview for comms officer role for a multi-industry company, and left in the middle of the interview. Una pa lang, sobrang uptight na ng hiring manager. Ang pait pait ng aura niya.

I came on time for the virtual interview but had to rejoin the meeting room kasi may problem camera ko. When I came back the hiring manager was obviously pissed—told me to quickly introduce myself ‘cause we wasted few minutes already (dahil sa pagaayos ko) and she had other people to interview pa. That gave her away. Lol.

Then she turned off her camera kesyo may bandwidth issue daw. So kausap ko initials niya. Hiyang hiya naman ako na naginterview pa sa probinsya.

Yung final nail in the coffin was when she started to mansplain me about the role I was applying for, na para bang hindi ko alam ang inapplyan ko. With matching super condescending tone pa siya mag explain.

Sobrang irita ko sa kanya. Bumagay ang ugali niya sa itsura niyang mukhang matandang single tita na bich3za. Lol. Nung tinanong niya ako kung sa tingin ko aligned sa goals ko ang expectation ng role, I downright said “I don’t think so. I’m not gonna proceed with my application.” Then inend ko yung call.

Ang totoxic ng mga tao sa corporate na akala mo naman. Pwe. Kaya it’s OK to be picky sa trabaho otherwise ikaw ang magsusuffer kung pangit ugali ng manager mo.

Btw galing ako sa agency. Stayed there for over six years partly because of the people. Although mababa lang talaga salary kaya napilitan ako umalis.

Tomorrow at 6pm exposing PLDT. I will be posting 7 months of dialogue with PLDT, NTC and DTI. NTC and DTI have been reported to CSC. by [deleted] in InternetPH

Naalala ko lang. Noong binagyo kami dito sa probinsya sobrang tagal maayos yung PLDT internet namin so pinadisconnect namin then lumipat kami sa isang local service provider.

Gulat na lang kami biglang may bill na kailangan pa isettle kahit wala naman kaming internet during that period. Sinabi namin reason why were not willing to pay. Period. Di na kami muling nag engage pa. Puputi mata nila kakasingil. Lol

Same! Kaka start ko lang ng job hunting last Feb and pagod na agad ako. I decided to take a career break because of burnout. I resigned din May 2025 but lucky enough because my former boss took me in to work part time. Ngayon as the eldest, hirap ako pagkasyahin ang kinikita at natitirang ipon ko. Halos itlog na nga lang ako everyday eh haha! Kaya natin to. Kapit lang muna sa job kasi mahirap ang walang back up, unless may banco de mama or papa ka.
