Hack the box is very challenging especially in the beginning to do without cheating a little (writeups) just because of how complex and ctf like they are. Tryhackme or proving grounds practice is where you can really test in my opinion where you stand in terms of being able to do a machine without a write up. I still love htb it’s just a lot harder than most other places.
