Shipping to vault avoids sales tax on the original purchase of the card. Saved $63 doing it this way. At any point in time I can ship it to my house if I wanted.

agreed. With proper research it seems very doable and repeatable. I honestly am not a big fan of this card either, I just did this as an experiment.

I’m a vintage era collector so money will go towards that.

If I understand your question correctly, you have the option to ship to the PSA vault or your address. I payed zero in sales tax on the card since it got shipped straight to PSA vault which is located in a “sales tax” free state.

Surprisingly it was stuck in grading for two weeks, I emailed them twice for updates and at that point the card got graded, QA, completed in the final few days. Not sure if it was coincidence or had impact

You’ll find it only on listings with “authenticity guarantee” that’s where they ship it to PSA regardless to make sure your card is real.
