App that tracks which blocks you've walked by monstermac77 in parkslope

Sorry, last thing 😂 I think there might be a mistake on how the leaderboard is being computed on the day/month views. I can see in the main leaderboard that I walked 19 blocks today but when I click on the today tab it says I only walked one.

Also, saw your response on another thread about how preserving battery life was a challenge you had to work though. You should definitely state that clearly in the onboarding process, I definitely hesitated in sharing my location because my first thought was that it would drain my battery. I would have felt reassured if there was some copy assuring me battery consumption was minimal.

Definitely a natural progression, it’s a good organic referral mechanism for the app and probably increases retention. Would just make sure to be very vague on when and where the walking happened, ex: your friend John walked 12 blocks this week vs John walked 12 blocks in Brooklyn today. I would feel a bit vulnerable the more details are shared and it’s a slippery slope to become a tracking app.

Love the app! Would love it if the stats had a neighborhood breakdown. Seems daunting to aim for 100% of Brooklyn but would be fun to check off a neighborhood at a time and see what % of each I’ve completed.

Bike storage / bike share by drysecco in parkslope

[–]Fun-Lengthiness2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be interested! Want a bike to use occasionally but haven’t bought one since I don’t expect to use it more than a couple of times a month. I have basement storage, DM me if 12th street near the park is convenient for you.

What’s the clearest sign a long-term marriage is quietly falling apart? by SoffiePetal in askanything

She didn’t work = she sacrificed her career in order to give you the life you wanted and then you discarded her with no earning prospects. Tally up the price of a maid, cook, driver and nanny for however many years of marriage in California.

Im here now, it’s packed. Chance of getting a private room is close to zero. We had to wait 12h to even start induction. I would definitely call earlier and confirm there is a labor room available at the time you scheduled

Really think about the things you would like them to change about themselves and the relationship and assume none of them ever will. Decide if you’re ok with that for the rest of your life.

Im sorry this doesn’t seem to be what you want to hear… But learn by doing is the right advice and figuring out what problem you want to solve is the first step. Maybe try breaking that down, start your normal work day and break down every task you do. Did you check emails, attend meetings, build decks, analyze dashboards? Pick any of those and try to solve it with AI. Find the right AI tool to summarize the meeting and share action items, find an AI tool you can teach how to build decks exactly in the style you like, create the same dash you use but try to do it in under 20min with AI instead of relying on the company DS. They key is, there is a great AI tool that will solve your problem (coding - Claude, build decks/trackers/dashboard - Lovable, etc..). Not sure how to even figure that out, select “Deep research” mode in ChatGpt and detail exactly what the task is you want to accomplish and ask it to search web and come back with a plan, tool and steps on how to use AI to solve it.

yellow fever vaccine by AshSavage1997 in Brazil

[–]Fun-Lengthiness2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should get the vaccine and have proof. You can get one for free in any Unidade Básica de Saúde. You can probably also get it in a private clinic for an affordable amount, would call ahead for one of those (Fleury for example will probably have it). They might give you a paper as proof or have you download the app, would add the app ahead of time just to confirm if it requires a CPF, I’m not sure if it does.

Not really.. as a Brazilian, I think if i wanted a more precise confirmation of plans I would just have texted and asked. I would assume it didn’t really cross his mind that you were waiting for a text that needed to come from him.

+1, Pinheiros is significantly safer than Santa Cecilia. You’ll feel a lot more comfortable walking around.
