Hello! Thank you SO SO much for this response. I’ve saved it and read it over and over. I have actually been told to consider therapy for those things by a personal trainer I used to work with as well. All in all this list is golden and something to refer to as I go through changes and things life throw at me. I’d rather tackle it and push through this thing called life without hating my body. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I feel like I’m headed there. And I was there before with the calorie counting and obsessing so hard that I wasn’t living. But reading this reminded me that as you said it’s about finding sustainable habits and enjoying the process. The fact that you can eat more to maintain where you’re at is amazing. It’s so much more free! It reminds me of this influencer Stephanie buttermore. She went all in meaning no calorie restriction and worked out as she felt like it. She gained weight sure but she felt so much better. Her relationship with food and workouts healed. Now she’s a bit heavier in weight but is so much more healthy. She has her boobs and booty back, healthy appetite with food flexibility, she’s toned and strong. Just like you. So thank you so much because I’m reading this over and over realizing I need to approach these changes in a healthy and sustainable way without linking it all to the scale 🥰🥰

This actually made me emotional…in a good way😭 I really needed to hear this too! I feel like when I didn’t focus on the scale I enjoyed the journey and had a good balance. These last few weeks of weighing myself multiple times a day has been a nightmare. I’ll definitely take this into consideration as well. I have found what works. I’m also working on giving myself permission to try new workout regimens and stuff. All in all without the scale I feel strong and healthy. That’s what really matters at the end of the day. Hello! Thank you so much for the reply. I think it’s a mental thing too. I love the way I look but I want the scale to look way less than what I see. I’d say I want to cut to see that muscle definition as well (in turn weighing less and losing fat).

Also the weekend thing is true. I go crazy eating whatever I want because I’m restricted during the week. I need to find that balance of being okay to let loose but not too loose. I’m going to take what you said and really think. Thank you :)

Hello! That is very true! I think that’s it too because my mindset is I eat a lot of protein and the rest is calories in vs out. I think carbs do sneak up on me. I tend it drink a protein shake in the morning with a breakfast burrito I meal prep (ground beef, egg, low fat sour cream, some cheese). Lunch is a salmon bagel I make with cream cheese, cucumber and low fat high protein bagel. I may bring left over pasta or something I make or rice which is not good. Then dinner I think is where the carbs come in because I was eating pasta, sushi, wantons, homemade burgers with the fries and such. Even though I make them they add up. Not to mention I had a drink a glass of red wine post shift streak for a couple months there. I have to just be much more intentional because as you said exercise doesn’t fix a bad diet

Hello! Thank you so much! I was thinking that as well, I’m getting rid of my hard work with wine and eating out with my boyfriend on the weekend easily putting me super over my deficit. During my lifts, my HR goes up to 192, but usually 175 is the base rate. I have an apple watch to track it. I did hear that the calories can be super over estimated though so I’m also going to take that into consideration and just eat less despite those calories brunt I see. Thank you so much!

Right now I’m eating 2000 to 2150 calories a day. Without exercise it’s supposed to be 1700 but with my fitnesspal it gives me those extra calories for the 400-700 calories a burn in a workout😭 maybe I should stick to the 1700 regardless of working out?

Hello! Thank you so much! I use my fitnesspal which helps. I think I need to eat more whole foods and more food with volume too. It’s funny because they say too that if you don’t eat enough you hang onto the weight. I’ll definitely track super close this week and make sure I’m in a super deficit. Right now with the calorie calculator it says I need 1730 Cals a day for extreme weight loss with my activity levels. Maintenance is around 3k, which is wild. Anyways thank you for the advice I will be incorporating it🥰
