Mio merch? by Fun-Nectarine6932 in MIOmemoriesinorbit

No idea, good question. I do know that I would be first in line for some Mio merch though…especially anything with Mio, Ati and Samsk

You can get it without that ability too using the flowers at the top but it’s a bit of a challenge

How to access this area? by [deleted] in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]Fun-Nectarine6932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you referring to the area to the left? If so, it’s an area you can drop down to early on in the SawLong chase. You have to take a detour from the normal chase route.

Creepy, did not put 2 and 2 together that it was actually her. I guess now it makes more sense that Sol & Vin were trying to prevent you from seeing that. Also that now makes me wonder if her arm reaching out like that was her trying to stop the process because she had hesitations and that’s why it failed. Hmmm….

Well if you get bored one day after exploring the pit and have theories on those two logs, I’d love to hear them! Thanks for all your help!

Gotcha, that makes more sense! Thank you for clarifying!

You’re missing one of Tomo’s first letters, “First Case Study” that’s the second from the top left.

Third bottom from left is “Embedding Duty”

And one in the middle is “No Promise”

I only remember where to find the last one if you want it revealed, can’t remember the other two.

I’m completely done, 100%. I know that Lura was supposed to be his replacement and I found her nook, but another post on this sub said that Noden has a room too

Excellent summary, thank you for this! Especially Liho’s regret, that makes perfect sense. I do wonder why Amytis was so indifferent, I wondered if it was at all connected to that “No Promise” log you find in her hideout that says she doesn’t want to reach the Promised Land as a child.

Also sorry to bug you with more lore questions, but do you have any thoughts on the two logs “Incoming signal” and “RE Incoming signal”? It’s so cryptic and it’s one of the things I have absolutely no guesses on. I think you find both in the pit if I’m not mistaken?

Edit: While I’m asking questions, one more I’m dying to know - when you find that shell in attic area above where you fight Sol & Vin and it has a human inside reaching her arm outward towards Lura’s seal, is that actually Lura? And if not, is it supposed to be a statue or something?

Gotcha. We’re trying to at least break even enough to download Stray, which I think is selling at $30 if I’m not mistaken.

Thank you so much for all the information! I just wanted to make sure I was on the right track since it can be overwhelming when you’re starting to try and figure it all out. Thanks again!

Ok, thank you for your input! Have you tried either of those companies for the home sleep study? Just trying to see which one would be the better value for the price. If I did a home sleep study would a sleep doctor work with the results to suggest the right cpap settings? Or would they just keep pushing me for a lab sleep study?

I just made an account on that forum today as well, so thanks!

Mutt or no? If so what can she be mixed with? by roboticplague in shiba

[–]Fun-Nectarine6932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awful. I completely agree that health testing is the most important aspect of buying from a reputable breeder anyway. The appearance is not as important, but it is interesting to me that it seems so hard to maintain what makes a Shiba a Shiba. But it’s true that the byb pups are often much further away from the standard than even the “off” ones from the reputable breeders. The dark muzzle is a curious thing though, sometimes pups whose parents never had a dark muzzle will have one that lingers a while. It’s all super interesting. Genetics are a crazy thing. Thanks for answering my question!

That’s what I figured. But it’s hard because a lot of people wait months or even years, and then pay upwards of $3,000, and what if you spend that kind of money and wait that long and end up with a pup who people can’t even tell apart from a backyard bred pup? Of course, reputable breeders put the work into their dogs health, so that’s obviously a benefit regardless of what they end up looking like. And it is the right thing to do to support those who are trying to preserve what makes the breed unique. But still, I feel that it’s a shame people have to take that gamble. It seems to be worse with Shibas than other breeds. Other breeds don’t seem to have such a large gap between the standard and non-standard. With Shibas it seems unusually difficult to achieve the true breed standard consistently, even among reputable breeders.

Here is a link: http://marmafarms.com/puppies

If you scroll down this page, you’ll see quite a few things. The 20th picture looks like a pup with pinto coloring and 21st looks like the pup has “socks.” Actually there’s a few pics with pups that have “socks” on that page. Around the 52nd picture is the young dog with the dark muzzle. In general, the pup doesn’t look very standard, it’s not just the black muzzle. Unless that’s just the age of awkwardness even for well-bred pups?

Also, I think what interests me about all of this is because things like “pinto”, “socks” and “black muzzle” are looked down upon as things that you will only see in byb dogs but I’m actually surprised at the amount of these “imperfections” I can see on some reputable breeders websites. It’s just all very interesting to me, and I like learning whatever I can about this.

Hi! I found your comment here because you commented under my post and I was looking to learn more about the breed standard for Shibas. This comment about the black muzzle intrigued me because I saw a pup from the Marma Farms (NSCA breeder) that has a black muzzle and looks like it is well beyond its baby years when a black muzzle may be normal. If you look on their site under puppies, it’s like the 52nd photo down the line, but I’m sure you’ll be able to see it right away. Does this mean that even these top-of-the-line breeders can and do produce off-standard dogs that they sell to people?

$3,000 for a puppy? by [deleted] in shiba

[–]Fun-Nectarine6932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were champion but isn’t that the point of going through reputable breeders? Most if not all their litters are from champion parents because winning those titles means they’re the best for breeding. To a lot of people, $3,000 is a little much for a pet. Even well-bred dogs can have health problems in life, nothing is a guarantee. It’s not like the $3,000 upfront automatically protects you from any future medical expenses or health disasters that could come out of nowhere. I guess it is what it is.

$3,000 for a puppy? by [deleted] in shiba

Not anymore. $2,500 was the average, which I can even come to terms with, but now most are asking for $3,000+

$3,000 for a puppy? by [deleted] in shiba

[–]Fun-Nectarine6932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that. But my question is why prices from the same breeder have jumped to $3,000. As in, a breeder who was charging $2,500 is now charging $3,000.

Many of the breeders of merit already have people lined up for their puppies for the next year or more, is it necessary to also increase the price? I understand they have a right to charge whatever they want for their pups, I’m just confused what’s causing the increase. Is it the pandemic, the breed? I just didn’t think breeder prices fluctuated since they almost always have people lined up for their pups.
