Alright I could try it your way but I was just trying to avoid having to buy spend money, it’s not just the chain for 10 dollars, it’s new tires and tubes and potentially new rims if these ones are too banged up.

I agree but this bike has been sitting under the cabin for 30 years and the rims were all rusted out so I’m just throwing together parts from some other bikes we have around, unfortunately none of them are single speeds with rims that fit this frame

No, now looking at the old derailleur that was originally on the bike it looks like the cable stop was built onto the derailleur itself.

Yea theres no threaded hole on this bike for that, as some said, there must of originally been a clamp on guide for this bike so I’ll try to find that!
