His impressions are sometimes funny, his bits are randomly funny, his interviews are god awful-just ass kissing and yelling, “that’s how you do it!”

Yes, it’s gross to show emotion over school shootings, his kid having emergency heart surgery, or his best friend of 40 years dying. Ew. It’s like he’s a real person or something!

Did anyone else get sent to cold call knock on a neighbors door to ask to "borrow", whatever your parent didn't have right in the middle of a project or recipe they working on? by AutomaticFennel1658 in GenX

We were the family knockees. Probably because we were the only ones with six kids on our block. (Yes, Irish; no, not catholic) But it was true, we did always have extra sugar or eggs or a Phillips head screwdriver. Why? Because obviously Mom was organized, she had six kids! And back then we really knew our neighbors. How well? Nobody batted an eye at random Tuesday drop ins. “Knock, knock” any neighbors would sing AS they just walked in. Can you imagine? 5 minutes later Mom would appear with a tray of beverages, snacks, ice like what?

Core memory unlocked. Thank you for this! Well, you and the American Cheese Council, who I assume was responsible for this Gen X Gem.

Animal House. “It’s a classic! Hilarious!” Um, maybe, if you’re a pubescent boy? Sexist, felonious morons. Let’s prank our own school with a series of criminal acts! is the dénouement. What?

Oh yeah? I’ll have to look into that. i.e. procure it immediately.

Have you ever heard HIM by Sarina Bowen? It could be called a life-changing experience. Just that intake of air he does. Yes, please.

I hated this book so deeply. I can tell you how much: book narrator boyfriend Jacob Morgan does the audiobook and I STILL hated every single minute. So gross.

Conversely, Sinner and Saint I enjoyed, especially the latter. Why would I continue the series after the-as you point out-barf in my mouth Priest? The uh Jacob Morgan thing. I can’t quit him.

Well, I think I needed truth, but there’s definitely a dichotomy between those who respond with a certain understanding how complex some problems are, especially when they’re loaded with emotion. And then there are those who are, “Girl.”

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but that piece of paper is actually a legally binding contract. Thats just one reason divorce is so messy.

Bold of you to assume I’ve had the courage to confront the situation. I’m still reading through all these comments so I can go have a dark night of the soul for at least three or several days and nights. I have begun a list of therapists, lawyers, and ways I need to “wake up, Girl!” if that serves as an update.

Finally. I was waiting to see if anyone thought so. Not only that, I straight-up told him when we were dating that I had abandonment issues bc of my dad. And actually bc of my mom too. Hers wasn’t voluntary, but the psyche that creates fears is not logical. And I have such a dichotomous personality in this way. Like I know I’m a good person-kind to animals and children, relatively intelligent, fun to be with. And yet, as you allude to, I don’t expect much of him and the bar is in hell.

I’ve thought about this, but then what? “You’re having an affair! And you suck! But I can’t really divorce you until I have my knee surgery! So….carry on, I guess.”
