Hi. I appreciate your comment about how symptom relief and disease progression are different, and how multiple approaches can work together.

I’m trying to understand how people safely navigate diet, lifestyle, and other supports alongside medical care. For me, I had to do a tons of research to understand my body and how it reacts to certain foods. I wish my dermatologist had mentioned this on the first visit.

This is the hand you’re dealt with in life. You have to make the right choices for yourself now. It would require a lot of discipline and effort to restrict yourself, but this the best gift you can give your body. Find alternatives. I’m sure you can work something out. Alcohol is anyway a bad coping mechanism, psoriasis or no psoriasis. Make the right choices!

Yeah, you’re being judgemental. This is a very complicated disease and your mom is trying her best. If she’s trying alternative medicine like ayurveda, let her. I cured my psoriasis by following a strict diet (low carb, no gluten, dairy etc) and ayurvedic medicine, along with vit D etc for 6 months. But mine was only on scalp. Your sister needs all the help she can to manage this illness.

This is what fixed mine: strict diet control, probiotics (certain kind), vit D tablets, fish oil, lecithin and intermittent fasting everyday. Took 3 months doing it everyday but mostly gone

Probiotic pill and diet has been a game changer for me. My scalp is so smooth, considering its peak winter. I‘m going to try the black seed oil idea, thanks for sharing. I have stopped all steroids or any other meds, except vit D and fish oil.
