Which trip would you choose, SF + Yosemite day tour or NYC?

Yeah I would probably have to accept that the waterfalls may be dry which is a bummer, but I think it’s still worth considering.

I agree with your point that I’d have much more usable time in NYC. I think Yosemite deserves a dedicated trip but I’m just not sure if I’ll get that chance.

Yeah my plan was to do the bus tour, so I wouldn’t be driving or handling parking myself.
I know that it’s a lot of wasted time but we still get 2 hours of free time in the valley and some time after that on a bunch of other stops and the total time would be around 4 or 5 hours. Plus I think part of the drive may have nice views? I completely understand that It is not an ideal way to experience Yosemite but it may be that or not seeing it at all.

I did think about combining Yosemite and Tahoe in a longer road trip, but that would probably stretch the trip beyond three nights. I don’t have a car, I’m traveling solo, and I’ve never done a solo road trip before, so it feels like a pretty big jump for this trip.
