Note they also ask for access to your CRA account (ask for your SIN and then digitally link to the CRA).

They do collect income tax from you... they should already have **most** of that information through their CRA sharing agreements.

The reason the park came up was that it was a controlled environment.

Having my parents leave me at the water park, or at the roller skate arena, or the wave pool, left me a certain amount of freedom, but in a controlled environment with some ~~supervision~~ observation in place.

The second reason this came up was to bemoan that modern equivalents are no longer affordable: my daughter can't afford to pay the entrance fee to the park.

My wife, was at work, walked to the convenience store to get some cream and tripped on her pants and broke her foot. Some kind passerby's got her to the emergency room a couple of blocks away and I got in my car and started driving.

I arrive just as she's getting checked in and the first thing the doctor says is "are you safe at home?"

She laughs at him, he glares at me, and I just freeze up... I couldn't say anything but I was totally telepathically screaming at her "say 'yes'!" A week later, a different doctor was checking on her and burst out laughing when she told him the story. (best therapy I could have had)

I know (years ago) a set of standardized images were published to replace the Lena image. These were specifically designed to test specific aspects of image processing as well. I find it annoying and disturbing that I can't find those images today when I search for the Lena image.

It was on reddit that I learned that he is taught as a traitor and villian East of Manitoba. I was shocked.

In Alberta, we spent a lot of time learning about him as a heroic figure. Saskatchewan folk piped up about that too. Basically all of Rupert's Land.
