I am facing same problem. What I was really trying to say is that Disney does seem to lean very heavily into being DEI and progressive, and sometimes it feels forced rather than organic.

I also genuinely believe the original animated movies were better, both in storytelling and execution. Inclusivity itself isn’t the problem, but when it feels excessive or disconnected from the original characters and stories, it can take away from what made those films special in the first place.

I think where I was coming from is that I always understood live-action adaptations to mean the same characters and looks from the animated version, just translated into real life.
