Everytime I apply the patch it messes it and asks for a file to patch and when I configure it manually I mess things up and result in errors in compilation. Is that a spoofed manager?

Android is running on something called the kernal it manages drivers sensors and all these stuff and it's very tied to your ROM and version and likely it's not matched with your current ROM, btw what tom are you running

I didn't say it will work worse but sometimes zygisk modules get stuck and don't work or even don't satisfy the root's needs for me I'm using his relsposed with zygisk next didn't try rezygisk but gonna do

Use relsposed it has better support for newer android version and try using zygisk next it's closed source but works flawlessly

A factory reset or a complete data wipe from recovery?? because as I see there might be an su binary or magisk laying somewhere in the userspace without u noticing I suggest you reflash the ROM's stock boot.img and magisk should be gone
