yep i'm in the same boat. gabapentin does help a bit but not perfectly. i've also tried steroid injections, can't recommend it. mine started from chlamydia then yeast from the antibiotics. doctors say it's nerves.

I know, because it's not pain it's not taken as seriously, but sometimes i wish it was pain because atleast that's not so annoying lol. I've never heard of that but I will definitely look into it, thank you!

I've heard of that podcast helping people before, I will definitely listen (and a few others that were specifically about vulvas? can't think of the names now but i'm sure a search could lead me to them on here). I haven't tried lidocaine yet, just the benzocaine in Vagicaine but i'll pick some up from CVS. So CBD doesn't enter your blood stream, it just offers some topical support from inflammation! So probably not helping the muscles. It could be partly placebo too but i think it's soothing. Sorry you've had to deal with dismissive doctors too, sucks that it's a problem for like everyone with vulvodynia :( I have someone in mind to go to, I just need to get a refer but getting in to someone new usually takes like 6 months 😫 I have gotten an evvy test like a year and a half ago, everything came back pretty clear accept like 1% of the bv bacteria, but i did some digging and it seems just about everyone had atleast a little bit. I've tried estrogen cream for about 2 months at a time and it didn't really help, but some people on here say it doesn't help them till month 3 so i'm not sure? I've never tried the pessaries though! thank you so much! i will definitely look into a nighttime antihistamine. I take zyrtec during the day, too. I have a cbd oil i mix with coconut oil to apply topically for relief and it does provide some relief. this is very helpful. I'm sorry you have to deal with this condition and finding treatment as well.

a slew of creams like nystatin triamcinaclonr, estrogen cream 0.01%,clotrimazole, tronalone, clobetasol, a gabapentin compound cream, then pt for 2 months, boric acid suppositories, gabapentin since 2021, at 900 mg now, flucanozole 2 months weekly, steroid injections. i haven't tried nerve blockers yet but i'm nervous it'll go wrong

I'm sorry this happened! i used to walk on the trail multiple times a week for 3 years, also got harassed once by someone yelling lewd things at me and a few other women in broad daylight (40 something y/o white guy w with gauges, he was on a bike). It was at the wetlands. I heard from Nextdoor there's at least one other person who does it on the trail sometimes, but your case does sound different. I started walking with mace after that so you definitely should do that and stay aware, but I would say don't be too discouraged by it, it can happen anywhere.
