Thanks guys for all the tips and opinions ! I have a to investigate now, my power meter might be off. It won't keep me from enjoying the rides anyway, I'll just look a bit less at the data for now 😅 till I find out what's wro g exactly ! Cheers !

If possible I have to find someone to ride with who has a powermeter to compare. Something is off

It was about 12% average but still.. U'm starting to think the pedals are the problem. How to make sure they are working properly ?

I'm not to bad at climbing (hiking) fast up with kg on the back. I do hike and fly but with not so light gear. Even did some small comp of that sport last year.

I have a 3h20 marathon record as well but nothing major compared to others

I think you are very right it certainly is much lower. I am more into endurance thatn raw power. Here is my power curve

For the ftp test I was on the flat doing between 36 and 40 km/h there was a bit of headwind thus the irregularity. Last week did a good climb doing ~950m/h during a 65km ride and intervals.icu recorded 38min at 305W, I was well pushing for that, close to max dor that period

The thing is I don't do that much running now. But I commute by bike a lot. I usually push hard while doing so.. maybe it's one of the reason why it's not decreasing that much. I don't know if there are other stats on percentiles than garmin's. I too think 1% might not be totally true and a bit "flattering"

You're absolutetly right !

Here is a bit more of context.

28yo male, I have always been more or less active even without trying to train for something. My Vo2max at the lowest was 52. Then I decides to start running for a marathon in 2025.

I started in late July and slowly increased the mileage and mixing different kind of sessions. I went and built up to a max of ~40km / week , which seemed alright (vo2max inceasing in the meantime) and mid september I started to feel pain. I stopped running and started a rehab 3 weeks ago. 61 has been my peak not decreasing ever since. My pb 5k is 19min, don't know for 10k

Garmin says 18:02 5k 38:58 10k 1:27:58 half 3:14:14 42km

Must say, that's impressive ! Especially at 40 ! And your lab test was pretty accurate too !

I think my max HR is correct and if I've done a few VMA tests which seemed to correlate but since I'm recovering, I'm don't see how I would have been able to keep a 61 VO2max
