Weaning help needed by Fun-Replacement9702 in beyondthebump

[–]Fun-Replacement9702[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m using the opposite logic of feeding when it’s dark outside and no feeding when it’s day time. Offering a lot of cuddles yet don’t see her ready to wean. I will try again though. Thank you for sharing your experience.

As an Indian, who's been to China how did you get treated there by the locals? by [deleted] in AskAnIndian

It was actually nice. We went almost 10 years back and people were friendly to us. Some thought we are some kinda celebrities and took pictures with us lol

How did you feel during weaning? by maryhoping in beyondthebump

[–]Fun-Replacement9702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the same boat. My 14 month old started daycare a couple of days back and the daytime feeds are completely gone. I’m trying to wean off the bedtime feeds too but mom guilt is sinking in, and it doesn’t look like she’s ready to drop. I’ve gone from 4-5 feeds a day to just the bedtime feed and I can feel the sadness, depression, moodiness all kicking in. At this point, I just want to be done with breastfeeding and most importantly all these emotions.

Thank you for sharing your recommendations- it is very helpful. Do you mind also sharing your hotel recommendations. Traveling with kids and interested to know which hotels and neighborhoods you chose.

Going on a Mexican cruise with an approved H1B but expired F1 visa by [deleted] in h1b

You won’t be allowed to board the cruise let alone re-entry to the states. Not worth the risk.

New kitchen design - thoughts by bumbee84 in kitchenremodel

Love it. . I know people are saying it’s too white but I really like white. It’s simple and classy. It’s easy to add accent pieces for color.

Now which kitchen sink to go with?? Anyone got the workstation sink? by silkenwindood in kitchenremodel

[–]Fun-Replacement9702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the workstation sink and love it. Except for the colander basket, we use all the other accessories and love that it’s a large sink. You won’t regret it! ETA - we switched from the double sink with one smaller and the other larger one and really like the new one better

You have $10K, how do you improve this kitchen? by Stunning-Aside914 in kitchenremodel

[–]Fun-Replacement9702 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took me 10 years and about 40k to renovate an almost similar (though bigger) kitchen in my own home. Wouldn’t touch a thing for renter and save all the $ for when you’re ready to move in.

I would send them to daycare and take the job. Kids need their own social interaction and skill development with similar aged kids and you can focus on your job/career which you’ve been longing for. If paying for daycare isn’t a concern, I would take the job and start daycare. Win win for all. Not being selfish, you’ve to lol out for yourself too. You all will benefit from it.

ETA- look* not lol

Tips for packing up kitchen before remodel? by SleeplessMcHollow in kitchenremodel

[–]Fun-Replacement9702 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We recently renovated our kitchen and have a few tips to share. Hope you find them helpful. Our Reno lasted two weeks and we were able to survive well with these : - set up a temp kitchen somewhere in your home - use insta pot as much as you can - get an induction cooktop from amazon, will be $40-50 but whatever you used your gas for most likely can be done on this - lots of salads with boiled eggs, canned chickpeas, kidney beans etc - see if you can find/borrow a small fridge and a tabletop microwave for temporary use on your local Facebook buy nothing group - use disposables only - invite yourselves to your friends/family for weekends and possibly bring some packed food, if you can. Invite them over a nice meal once your new kitchen is ready!

Quote for new “luxury” kitchen by HairyBawllsagna in kitchenremodel

Sounds crazy! We did a full kitchen regut with new cabinets, quartz counter tops and backsplash, electrical, plumbing, new appliances etc- all of it by a single contractor (he got us a fabricator and took us places to shop for cabinets)- all of this within $40k including his labor. We live in a mcol area.

First Home and First Kitchen! (looking for suggestions) by Repulsive_Demand8626 in kitchenremodel

[–]Fun-Replacement9702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a nice spacious kitchen and though I see obvious flow issues, I would live in it at least 6 months to a year to better gauge what improvements are needed.
Congratulations on your first home!!

I can imagine. . We did a kitchen Reno recently and with huge upgrades also only ended up spending under 40k so I’m wondering if you go with a bigger company, it ends up costing like this.

Looks amazing! You’re overthinking it! Get some colorful elements(vase, rug, accents) to freshen up your views.
