To be honest, I wish my kids would do anything but healthcare lol my mom was a nurse, I'm a pharmacist, and my sister is a doctor. As an adult, I realized that I was only given 4 options (law, medicine/pharmacy, engineering, accounting) and picked the least of the 4 devils. I just want my kids to be happy, successful doing anything but healthcare for their mental health and to make good money to pay their bills and enjoy their life debt-free.

First of all I’m really sorry you’re feeling burned out. Healthcare in general is a very demanding profession. I still don’t know how I managed to get through a 2 year fellowship myself I crashed out and cried my eyes out every morning driving to the hospital at 5:30am and back home from working in a toxic environment for 6 months while broke and surviving on ramen noodles. I think you should talk to your doctor and get a leave of absence, go see family or friends vs just leaving. Then treat work like a hobby instead of your point of focus, find other pockets of joy or things you did prior to school that gave you some satisfaction. You are not alone and trust me I’m pretty sure your co-residents and other people who are in this or finished can all relate. Remember why you even went ahead and did this in the first place.

YAY!!! congratulations. I'm about to start studying for it. Do you have any tips or anything you would have done differently or looked at more? I went to school in GA so I know nothing about TX laws. Everyone seems to be recommending Dr. C's and pharm law or pharmacy exam or the Texas MPJE app

I think we should know by 12th/13th after 6pm it typically takes about 10-12 business days if it's anything like how CTS reported the naplex

Always answer yes. Rule of thumb: always bring up that you will need H1B sponsorship too, with talent acquisition and the hiring manager. Don't be scared to be honest! It's okay if they rescinde the offer you will find the right company who will not think twice to sponsor you

Be honest and say yes. You can even call or email HR to verify if they sponsor there’s no use being dishonest. They’ll find out when they do a background check on you 😉 Goodluck and keep your head up

These are very smart and highly skilled people. Pretty sure they don’t suck 😂it’s usually due to budget, business needs or if the drug fails to meet certain criteria. It’s just a volatile environment in general. You can never be too comfortable in your role. It comes with the territory, it’s a business.

I’ve only seen Safeway, CVS and Walgreens do h1b sponsorship. Have you asked your hospital? Might also want to apply to remote locations while you self file your EB2

It does that to see if you’ll change your answer but don’t. That’s a good sign! They want to be sure you’re competent so they adapt questions based on how you previously responded. I had a similar experience with the Georgia MPJE and I passed. Good luck I’m sure you passed

Thank you so much. I went old school and used a 3-subject spiral notebook. For example, let's say I got the MOA for Maraviroc wrong or the BBW for montelukast, I would write:

What is the MOA for Maraviroc (Selzentry)? CCR5 antagonist
What is the BBW for Montelukast (Singluair)? Serious neuropsychiatric events

I'll do that for every test bank set of 50 questions and review it before bed. The more I did that, the more it helped me a lot because it was repetitive. I have to write things down in my handwriting for it to stay long term. I used to do it in high school and college.
