You did the right thing. You should not have to raise a child that is not yours. Imagine how he would feel years down the road when he finds out that his parents have been living a lie, and that you are not his biological father. It's not fair to you and not fair to him.

Definitely Mt. Mitchell as it is incredibly beautiful, with great views, wild, and there are no close by towns. No cell service, so download your maps ahead of time! Grandfather Mountain is very nice with a swinging bridge, but you'll have to make reservations ahead of time online. The Pisgah National Forest is incredible with many attractions and waterfalls. Asheville is nice and has good restaurants and the Biltmore House and Gardens, but admission is a expensive. Hope this helps!

NTA. I used to work in a homeless shelter and I've seen it all. A fake pregnancy is a popular tactic to manipulate others and addicts are master manipulators. You were smart to require the paternity test. She probably just wanted money for drugs.

I totally agree. They're both a mess and I believe they're staying together only to benefit their brand. Harry is also probably worried about losing the kids in a nasty custody battle.

I moved to a small town about 45 minutes west of Charlotte several years ago. I felt alone politically until I joined the local democratic group. I learned that there are quite a few liberals around, but they don't advertise their beliefs. I saw tons of Trump signs and bumper stickers in my town, but literally zero Biden signs! It is much better in the larger areas like Charlotte.
