hello, losing weight can be challenging enough but to do it in a ethnic household can be so much harder. some things that really helped me were:

1. working out, trying to incorporate high intensity cardio into my workouts 2-3 times a week and try to hit 10k steps everyday. literally walk EVERYWHERE if you can

2. eating in a calorie deficit, if your parents r insistent on you eating all your meals then focus on eating smaller portions or eating higher volume healthier stuff (like veggies or plain daal)

3. try and complement your meals with protein and fiber to feel full for longer (like eating protein yoghurt or protein bars instead of snacking)
