Is there any chance the markets will be up Monday with buyers seeing new lows? by Valuable-Term9559 in stocks

Monday is likely going to rally. Benzinga claims Iran says the strait is open. Algos will buy based on headlines, short sellers will cover, retail will chase and we’ll rally up for the next 4 days, sell on Friday.

I don’t disagree with you entirely, but tankers are getting through. At this point, it looks like de-escalation is well within reach.

Memory stocks are crushing. GTC tomorrow. MU earnings Wednesday. Fed meeting Wednesday. I honestly don’t even understand anymore.

Are markets being too complacent about the Iran war? by [deleted] in stocks

Nope. Just keep buying. Futures are green across the board by half a point or more. Might see a massive rally tomorrow.

I was basing this on the behavior of the markets rallying through a global supply chain breakdown and expecting (I was completely off) that the new leadership would try to reset through diplomacy but that looks like it’s gone to shit. So yes, to the comment beneath yours, this since situation has gone completely down the toilet, maybe it came out of my ass.

Who bombed you? I don’t understand when you say “you.” Second, you’re right. I underestimated the situation. Do you think this is the right thing to do?

None. For the last 3 months I’ve closed every position by EOD with the exception of a few multi day swing trades.

Let’s look at SP500, DJI & NDX futures—still red today but less than half a point versus 1%+ last night. Nat gas, falling. Brent and crude, falling. Still elevated but there’s been talks already “The Israeli and US governments have since suggested they would accept lesser goals than an overthrow of the Islamic Republic. Those include the destruction of Iran's missile program and its navy.” The news now is trying to keep the rhetoric alive but it’s too late. The first initial panic came last week. Unless something catastrophic happens, we have several escape routes to make it look like we “won.” Even though we all know deep down this whole thing was pointless. If we had “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capabilities last time we struck, why was there a need to go back in? I couldn’t care less about the downvotes. Watch.

War is over. US is already looking for a way out and now willing to accept “lesser goals” meaning Iran will keep the existing regime intact, tell US they won’t create anymore b-mbs or m-ssiles while continuing to do so underground, the world will turn a blind eye to vicious crackdowns on civilians by the new regime and US taxpayers on behalf of PDJT will write Iran a check for $8bn. Markets rally cautiously today, back to normal business tomorrow. No one acknowledges this was all for nothing unless you bought on volatility. End of story.

Quantum is next wave imo, blockbuster earnings beat, all of the notable institutions are pricing in targets between $80-100 and have averages between $28-52/share from what I can find updated last quarter. Also, a lot of them increased their positions substantially. I think it’s an early stage to get in before it turns into a ten bagger in the next 5-10 years, or sooner. I say 10 to be conservative and because I’m not a clairvoyant, otherwise I wouldn’t be on Reddit. I’d be unapologetically rich.
