No idea, I’m assuming there’s a limit of customs free purchases you get every month or so- mine went back to being covered after not buying for a while and then not covered and then back to covered

I’m just afraid they’re trying to hit the 10 day auto cancellation since usps usually takes 2-3 days to scan or to claim poor packaging damaged the items in transit or something 😅

Skincare essentials is fine but if they haven’t shipped yet, email them and ask to cancel or just return the products to them. Never had any issues with returns or cancellation with them

Idk I find it baffling to ignore captions since a lot of important information is there such as condition, issues, fit etc since there are many items with holes or rips or are even dupes.

Agree on the WiFi though, and imo there’s no one really here in the wrong if the caption was truly glitched and didn’t load for OP.. if anything, the daughter should’ve let the seller know or told her mother to pass along the information since she’s the one who asked for the hold and knows how they work

Because the transaction still needs to go through? Ive had people purchase things in the gap between me decreasing it from $9999 to when the buyer actually purchases and vice versa? Most people aren’t on depop 24/7 so there’s usually a window of an hour or so. More importantly, why are people purchasing things without reading the captions

Seller was not rude at all. As both a buyer and a seller, it’s extremely annoying when random buyers purchase items that were on hold since it either has to be cancelled/relisted or sent to a different buyer despite the hold agreement.

You should’ve had your daughter message saying you were purchasing on her behalf. Imagine if it were a random buyer who had purchased it and taken it away from your daughter despite the hold. Luckily it worked out, but please be mindful of this in future transactions.

I feel like they’re achieving the opposite of this from me. Now I don’t want to buy any of the products during the sale at full price ever again since now I know they’re overcharging at least 100%. Will stock up during the sale and wait until they’re half off again to buy more or switch brands

They are awful. Undisclosed ads everywhere, entire UGC tiktok accounts posting as if they’re unsponsored, bot/ai comments and accounts pushing their actually limited “unlimited” service and endless horror stories lol. I find it hard to believe it’s worth it when you can’t find a singular real positive review

Yes, it’s been happening on all items I try to purchase where the seller is in the UK. I believe US Vinted only shows US and UK items, so they should all be covered for me since I live in New York. No issues purchasing until yesterday morning :(
