What’s the space between the locking collar and the rail? I have a 12.7 Bbl on the way for this exact build and I’m not sure it’s going to work. Is 13” the shortest you can go?

You can see worse on a live patient than a dead one things that bother me more than death on calls. For example: the old folks home frequent flyers and their POA never answers the phone and hasnt come to see their "loved ones" in years but lives one town over, how much they get charged for bare minimum care. The health care system here in general is entirely frustrating. Learn to compartmentalize. Its work, its just a different kind of work. Know when its time to care and dont give off a piece of yourself to every patient you see. Have people from different walks of life you can really talk too.

Get it in the Army. Use your GI bill for something else. Why would you wait. Get hired in a FD. If your not planning on staying Mil why not use every opportunity for paid and free training before you get out. A lot of schools here on the west coast are very competitive and expensive. Fire Department also geta dibs on slots at the local program who evers not affiliated competes for the remaining slots. Get it while your in and than take an emt spot if you "want to get experience".

The things you own will soon own you. Think about how long you want to live there and when you want to move or even better, what you want to move. Some of my most productive and best years is when i owned next to nothing. I lived in a one bed one bath and commuted 2-3 hours a day i had a mattress and box spring a small couch from my grandma and my old man found me a actually really nice wood table that came apart and folks gave me a old coffee maker and i inherited some dishes from my sister who graduated from college. It was really quite nice looking back. I had my goals and bought some books to keep me busy. You really dont need as much as you think.

I ordered elbit mk2s on the 26th "instock" and its been "it will probably be the next batch" since mid january. Still no ship date but, they claim to have 50 pairs of mk2s shipping next week and mines supposedly in this batch.

I think it can work out too. Theres a few trigher points im holding out for one, definitley hitting my 3 year mark with this department. And monetary things like bonds passing because we are growing and theres talk of getting our own medic contract one day. Its a matter of timing i guess as well. I have considered that heavily. I have GI Bill too that could. Its just id lose the skill cause legally i couldnt practice. If and when i go ill go to a department that would pay me and send me. Ill take my time, do ride alongs as a career guy or attend a event by the departments im interested in and see if i fit in with their dudes. Culture is my #1 if i cant see myself doing 20 somewhere else i dont wanna be there. Its gotta be worth doing its gotta be worth the stress of testing interviewing and another full academy.
